Normal POV
With Knuckles, Tails, and Rouge
The entire battlefield is covered in pieces of the countless number of robots that the trio dominated and there's do many that it looks like a junkyard. Knuckles, Tails, and Rouge is now lying on a pile of robot scraps in exhaustion from the battle they fought. Knuckles wiped off the sweat off of his red forehead breathing heavily.
"That was...the hardest battle...I ever fought...in my life."
Rouge takes out her hand fan that she always takes with her, which is purple with a pattern of blue and red dots, and waves it back and forth letting the airflow refresh herself.
"It was...the longest too...I can...barely breath."
"Well...all that matters...is that we're...victorious."
"That's right Tails...and I hope that...Sonic, Shadow, and Amy.. are going to be victorious too... against Eggman."
"Yeah...I'm worried too...about them too...just have faith...in them and they'll...be ok."
"Well I hope...that Amy will...forgive us for...being the worst...and cruelest friends in Mobius."
"So...do I...and if she doesn't...I don't blame her...and wouldn't...force her to."
"She deserves...way much better...friends...like Shadow."
"Yeah...he really...cares for Amy
...and would...risk his life...to protect her."
"They must be...pretty close."
"If Shadow...wasn't there...on her side, then Amy...would've been...dead by now."
"And for that...we should be thankful."
"Should we help...the hedgehogs, boys?"
"No...we might just get...in thier way...and plus...I'm too...tired to fight."
"Yeah...we should...wait till we...get our strengths...back up."
Back with the trio hedgehogs, Metal Sonic, and Eggman
Sonic weakly fell from the wall he got attacked in to the floor and Shadow ran to his side. Amy has worry and sadness in her eyes, Eggman looks full of joy,and Metal Sonic is having a little malfunction due to the V. Maximum Overdrive damaging his circuits so he just stood there watching the sad scene.
"You idiot! Why the hell did you push me out of the way and took the hit for me?!"
"I d-did t-that because...y-you're more p-powerful than me so you have a g-greater c-chance of d-defeating Metal S-sonic than I do."
"That's no damn excuse Sonic! You can't just risk your life to protect someone as pathetic and worthless as me! There's a lot of people that need and depend on you to protect them from the Egg bastard and without you, Eggman would have a greater chance of accomplishing his goal!"
"Yes I know S-shadow...but if I died, E-eggman still w-would n-never win c-cause the p-people also d-depends on Tails, K-knuckles,R-rouge,Amy...and you."
"M-me? But I can't st-"
"Yes you can S-shadow.You w-won't be a-alone a-anymore. You h-have Amy and the o-others as your f-friends t-that will be by y-your side to till the v-very end. And y-you're not p-pathetic or w-worthless that o-other p-people say c-cause y-you're not none of the bad t-things t-they a-about you. You're w-worth f-for a-always p-protecting A-amy and b-being her b-best f-friend so she won't ever feel so d-depressed again. Can you p-promise me you'll do that f-for me?"
"Yeah,of course I promise."
Amy is now really sad for Sonic and felt that she forgives him for breaking her heart.
"Sonic...you really are sorry for saying the heartbreaking words to me."
"T-thank...you...S-shad-dow."
Those were Sonic's last words before he slowly closed his eytes before he fainted from losing too much blood. Shadow's eyes widen in fear that Sonic is maybe dead.
"Sonic? Sonic?!"
Shadow puts his head on Sonic's chest to hear faint heartbeats that made him sigh with relief which made Amy have a relieved look on her face.
"Thank goodness that he's still alive."
Eggman was starting to get impatient and bored from the touching moment with Sonic and Shadow.
"Alright I had enough from all this chatter. Metal Sonic is time to finally destroy Shadow."
Metal Sonic was about to charge towards Shadow till he he can't move from the damages from the powerful attack.
"Shadow now's your chance to attack Metal Sonic and make it pay for hurting Sonic. And don't forget that I believe in you that you can defeat it and Eggcrap."
"You're really starting to get on my nerves!"
"I don't believe anyone was talking to you bastard!"
Shadow felt anger burning inside of him. He had just have enough of Eggman's cold-hearted ways and Metal Sonic's monstrosity. Because of them,well mostly because of Eggman,Sonic is badly injured and Amy is captured and being mistreated by him. Shadow charges toward the Sonic wannabe and spin dashes him hard at his stomach and slams him hard to the wall. Then the black hedgehog kicked him hard at the top of the head which made him fall on the ground. Some parts of the robot's Metal quills on his head had broken off and he can barely move now. Shadow uses Chaos Spear at Metal and kicked him hard toward Eggman who have no time to dodge his creation.
"NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!"
Metal Sonic and Eggman crashed into each other which caused Metal Sonic to explode being destroyed and Eggman to be blasting off through the ceiling and out of his lair into the sky like Team Rocket would always been doing whenever they were hit by an explosion of sorts.
"YOU WILL PAY FOR THIS SHADOW THE HEDGEHOG!!!"
Shadow ran towards the capsule the pink hedgehog is in.
"Amy step back"
Amy did what she was told and Shadow used Chaos Spear in an nonviolent way to break the capsule. Amy immediately ran to Shadow and hugs him who hugs back. Shadow then pulls away from it.
"Thanks for believing in me Amy."
"You're welcome Shadow. Now let's get out of here so we can take Sonic to the hospital."
"We have to find Rouge,Knuckles, and Tails since they're here too to help me save you and plus Tail's is our ride."
Amy's eyes widen in shock.
"They care about me too Shadow?"
"Yeah they're really sorry for being horrible friends too you and want to make it up to you."
"Alright let's go find them."
Shadow and Amy ran to Sonic's side and Shadow carried him in his arms not caring about the blue blur's blood getting on his fur and runs out of the room with Amy following close behind."
