Chapter 6 : Grounded of the Pain

Normal POV

Amy made it to the front porch of her house. She nervously got her house keys and puts it in the lock of the front door. She opened the door to see her mother with a ticked off look on her face with her hands on her hips. When she saw the anger in her mother's eyes she trembled a little.

"H-hello mother. I guess you heard the news from the principal."

"Oh I heard it all right. I'm very disappointed in you. You'd never get into trouble and why did you do it now?"

"Sorry mom...I was just protecting a friend from getting hurt. And you wouldn't understand how bad he's being treated at school. Everyone hates him for no reason and he's nothing like the mean things they said. He's a kind person."

"Do you mean Sonic?"

When Amy heard her ex-delisusional lover's name, she had a sad look on her face remembering what Sonic had said to her. Her mother got concerned for what Amy is feeling.

"You okay Amy? You look like something bad happened to you and Sonic. Do you wanna talk about it?"

"No...and the person I'm talking about is not Sonic...it's Shadow.

"Shadow hmmm? I heard rumors about him killing children. Is it true?"

"No way that's not true! He would never do such a thing! I can't believe these people will believe everything!"

"Well alright...but you're grounded for one month and you won't be using your phone till then. I'll take it away and put it somewhere where you least expect it would be."

"Mom please don't take my phone away! It's like my child and I would die of agony without it!"

"Getting your phone taken away isn't the end of the world young lady."

"It's the end of my LIFE."

"Your over exaggerating. You have to face the consequences of your actions. Now give me your phone."

Amy slowly got her phone from her backpack and gave it to her mother but she held a tight grip on it. But her mother managed to take her daughter's phone from her grasp.

"Now go to your room to change and go to sleep.You'll be sleeping early today."

Amy stomped upstairs and slams her bedroom door closed. She angrily changes into her nightgown and tucks into bed turning the lights off and goes to sleep.

"This is so unfair. First I got a detention just for helping Shadow from being hurt, then I got heartbrokened by Sonic, and now my phone is taken away for a MONTH. This is like the worst day of my life...

Next day...

After she did her morning routine, she closed the front door behind her and started her walk to school. She's still ticked off at her mother for taking her phone away and that she ignored her while eating her breakfast. She then realized that if she's going the normal way to school, she'll see Sonic and he said to to stay out of his life so she has to avoid him in any way. So she took the longer way by going around the street. Amy finally got over her feelings on Sonic since them being the couple is nothing but a fantasy and it took a broken heart just to see that. But she knows that Sonic wouldn't bring her down cause she's not alone. She has the ultimate handsome life form named Shadow the Hedgehog on her side who likes her just the way she is. When Amy made it to the school everyone stared at her and whispers about her behind her back. She just ignored them and looked for Shadow who is nowhere to be found.

"Shadow where are you? Did you remember that you promised to at school like I wanted. He probably got punished by his father since he got a detention and he tried to save me. And it's my fault."

When the bell rang she goes to her 1st period class to see all of the students glaring at her and she just ignored those jerks and goes to her seat looking at Shadow's seat which is empty. Her ears lowered as she's worried and concerned about Shadow. She doesn't why she's being just because he's gone but not being with him made her sad. Then suddenly a bunch of paper balls was thrown to Amy's face by a group of friends who was laughing at the look on Amy's face. Amy death glares at the group with fire in her eyes until she saw Sonic comes into the classroom. Sonic didn't even try to look at Amy like a jerk and sits in his seat. Amy just narrowed her eyes at Sonic and looks away from him as the bell rings and the teacher coming in the classroom.

*After 1st period*

When she was about to go to her next period, she was pushed roughly to the wall by Scrooge and his gang.

"Sup Rosie...nice to see your ugly face again since when you humiliate us. And where's the black rat?"

"That's none of your business you idiot! And leave me and Shadow alone before I'll beat you guys with my hammer again!"

Then Scourge slapped Amy hard on the face and his gang grabbed her and took her to the back of the school with Scrooge following.

"LET ME GO YOU JERKS BEFORE I BREAK YOU GUYS TOO PIECES!"

The gang puts Amy down but didn't let go of her. Scrooge slowly walked up to them as Amy death glares at Scrooge.

"Now this will treat you not to mess with me!"

Scourge punched hard on Amy's stomach which made her groan in pain struggling from the gang's grasp. Scrooge continues to keep punching Amy on the stomach which made her cough of blood and screams in painas the Scrooge and his gang laughs. When Scrooge punched her stomach again, Amy falls to the ground who looked weakly at Scrooge with fear and hurt in her eyes. Scrooge smirked evilly at Amy.

"P-please s-stop S-scrooge..."

"Too late for that Rose...now prepare to suffer."

Scrooge was about to punch Amy one last time until Shadow grabbed Scrooge's arm and threw his gang which made them toppled onto each other. When she realized the person who saved her, she weakly smiled at Shadow.

"S-shadow...I-i knew y-you ll keep y-your p-promise."

"Sorry I was late Amy...then you wouldn't be hurt."

Scrooge got up from the ground death glaring at Shadow.

"I knew you wouldn't be absent you little scrub! Now get out of my before I beat you and the pink rascal!"

Shadow death glares at Scrooge and his gang full of rage.

"HOW DARE YOU HURT MY FRIEND LIKE THIS! SHE DOESN'T DESERVED TO BE TREATED THE SAME WAY! I'M GOING TO BEAT HELL OUT OF ALL OF YOU!"

Shadow then dashed towards the bullies and starts to beat them up as Amy is shocked of how angry Shadow is. This is like the most anger that Shadow could have and that he's that angry when Amy is hurt.

"Shadow...you really do care for me."

After Shadow had gotten his rage out on the bullies who are very injured, he walked to Amy and gently picks her up and carries her in his arms and goes on his way to bring Amy to the clinic.
