The company watched from below as Annet and Erthril flew by them. The elves of Rivendell stopped in their tracks upon spotting the dragon.
She found a spot away from the homes but close enough. It had water and soil for Annet to land.
She gently landed Annet on the ground. She climbed off and petted the dragon's neck. "I will bring dinner to you." She tells Annet, who brushes her snout to Erthtils hand.
"I will bring him." She answers before hurrying toward the stairs. She hurriedly passed by homes and upsteps until she saw statues.
She smiles, seeing the company come into her view. "Erthril!" They shouted, with the exception of Thorin, who gave her a nod.
The dwarves hurried over to her while Fili stood in front of her. "We saw you. Are you all right? Did one get you?" He asked as he walked around her.
Balin noticing, herded the others away from the two. "I am all right. Annet is good as well." She tells him, placing her hands on his shoulders and making him stand still.
"Are you?" She asked, looking at him softly. "I saw one throw an axe at you." He tells her, ignoring her question.
"I am in front of you. We are both fine." She tells him with a smile. He lets out a breath before smiling up at her.
"Let us join the others. I am quite hungry." She tells him as she releases her hands from his shoulders. They both made their way inside.
She found where they had been led to, and it was a room with a view overlooking Rivendell. She watched as the others put their things down.
"You can see Annet from here," Kili says as he looks out off the balcony. She hurried over, placing her hands on the railing.
"She looks quite comfortable." She says to herself, watching as her dragon lies down. "There are stories of when dragons had their place here. But that was..." Balin trailed off, making them all look at Erthril.
"Yes, Lord Elrond told me he knew my mother. It must have been commonplace for dragons here." She says with a frown on her face.
She looked down, feeling a hand on her own. Looking up at her with sympathy was Fili, who rubbed her hand with his thumb.
"The dinner is ready. Follow me." An elf tells them as she turns back to Annet. She felt Fili remove his hand, which made her turn away.
She followed the group as they made their way to the dining area. The dwarves crowded her as she felt stared at.
As they approached, she saw a high table while a smaller one was beside it. She awkwardly squatted down into a chair between Bilbo and Fili.
