As the dinner finished, she stood and stretched her legs. "Are you all right?" Fili asked, watching her stretch her arms.
"I am." She tells him, smiling. She grabs several slices of meat and places them on her plate. She glanced over at Lord Elrond, who gave her a nod.
"Would you like to feed Annet?" She asked Fili, who now stood beside her. "If she will allow me to." He tells her with a smile.
She made her way through the halls with Fili keeping step beside her. She held the plate closer to her.
They made their way down several steps until reaching Annet, who was calmly lying down.
"Annet, dinner." She says, grabbing a piece of meat off the plate. Annet jumped up and faced them.
She handed it over to Fili, who looked at her as if to ask if he would be fine. "She won't hurt you, I promise." She tells him, following behind him as he walks closer.
"Just throw it up. She will catch it." She smiles before seeing him throw it up. Annet's head snapped to the sky as she caught it in her mouth.
"Another." He told her, smiling while holding his hand out to her. She laughed, giving him another piece.
He threw it and watched in awe as the dragon ate. "I am glad to see you enjoying yourselves." A voice says from behind them.
Fili placed himself between the voice and Erthril before she could turn. "Lord Elrond." She says as she finally turns, seeing Fili still tense.
"It is all right. I will join you all later." She tells him, placing a hand on his shoulder. "Are you sure?" He asked, making her smile softly at him.
"Yes, I am. I have Annet." She tells him, and he slowly nods and turns back to the Lord. They both watched as Fili left, but as he reached the top of the steps, he turned around.
She gave him a nod, and he turned and left. "They seem quite protective of you, especially that one." He smiles as he turns to her and Annet.
She tilted her head as she looked at him. "When the others were staring, they grouped around you. He stepped in front of you when he heard me."
She smiled at the thought before looking up at the Lord. "Why have you joined me?" She asked, giving Annet the last piece.
"I believe you have questions about your family, do you not?" He asked, making her turn back to him.
"Is it true that dragons used to have a place here?" She asked, holding the plate to her chest. "That is true, though that was thousands of years ago." He nods to her making her frown.
"Who was my mother? My father?" She asks as she looks up at him. Elrond smiles at her as he steps closer.
"Your mother was a fierce fighter. She was kind to those she ruled over. She loved you before you were here." He tells her while looking at her and seeing a spitting image of his former friend.
"But your father was ruthless when it came to fighting, but he was also kind to those he deemed deserved it." He tells her, making her look down.
"I was always happy to wake up and see a dragon at this spot." He told her before he saw her tears.
"They would be proud of who you are." He tells her as he places a hand on her shoulder. "I will have more meat brought out for her before morning. But now you should rest."
