"Would you like to thank her?" She asked, looking at Fili, who watched Annet. He looked up at her, and she motioned with her head.
She made her way to the rock and jumped up. She smiled as she turned, holding her hand out to him. He took it, and she gently helped him up.
"Annet?" Fili whispered as he walked closer to the dragon, Erthril following behind closely. The dragon turned her head to them.
"You did a good job." He told her before reaching out to pet Annet's snout. Erthril felt herself relax, and she smiled.
"I'm beginning to think she likes you." She tells him, causing him to turn to look at her. "I believe-" He was cut off by Annet pushing him toward Erthril with her snout.
Erthril was quick to catch the shorter man before glaring at Annet. "I may have been wrong." He jests while feeling her hands on his shoulders.
"She does like you. Why else would she push you?" Erthril says, looking down at the dwarf. "Maybe she-"
He was cut off as they both turned their head to see Thorin storm away. "Where is he going?" She asks as the others stand around.
"Trolls can not travel in daylight." He tells her, making her look toward where he left to. "A cave."
"I will be back, Annet." She says to her dragon, who softly purrs. Erthril jumps from the rock holding a hand to Fili, who takes it.
She stands by Gandalf as the dwarves grab their blades and follow after their leader.
"If you go deep in the woods, I can not bring Annet." She tells the wizard, who looks from her to the dragon.
"You stay with her, but if it takes too long, follow our path," Gandalf tells her, causing her to sigh. As he leaves to follow, Fili stays back.
"I can stay with you. If you need-" Erthril smiled at him as she walked closer to him. "You go with them. But if anything were to happen, make a noise."
Fili looks up at her, tilting his head in confusion, "Why would I make a noise?"
She shakes her head and replies, "No matter how small it is, Annet will hear. And I will come to find you." Fili's eyes soften at her words.
"Now go. They are waiting." She tells him, turning him to the wooded area. As she watched him leave, Annet let out a purr.
She held her hands together to her chest, "Please, do not start." She says, turning to the dragon, who looks on with amusement.
"Just listen while I find something for you to eat." She says as she returns to the camp.
She saw the bowl left out by Balin, and she thanked him in her thoughts as she picked it up.
She hurriedly returned to Annet and jumped on top of the rock. She placed it in front of the dragon.
She smiled, seeing Annet begin to eat. "Has anything happened yet?" She asked, causing Annet to a flap a wing at her.
She fell off the rock and looked up at Annet from the ground. "I can not believe I told him you were nice." She jokes, causing Annet to flap her wing again.
"Just eat your food!" She says as she stands back to her feet.
