"His name is Beorn." He tells them as she moves behind the tall man and toward a wooden beam. She leans her back against it, crossing her arms. "And he is a skin-changer. Sometimes, he's a huge black bear. Sometimes, he's a great strong man." He explains.
"The bear is unpredictable, but the man can be reasoned with." He tells them as she watches the group disperse from the door.
"However, he is not overfond of Dwarves," Gandalf says, making her glance to Fili, who was watching the door.
"What of Dragons?" She asked as she walked over to him. "I would say not very fond. They do have a habit of burning things." He says, turning to her.
"If Annet shows, what am I to do?" She asks him. He looks down at her with an indescribable look, "She should stay in the woods. It would be safer."
Her eyes widen as she makes her way to the door. Fili stops her as he says her name. "Where are you going?" he asks as Ori says the bear is leaving.
"I must find Annet. I need to make sure she is safe," she tells him, making him look at the door and then at her. "Do you feel her?" He asks quietly as he holds his hand out. She hesitantly takes it, and he leads her to a far corner.
"Yes, she is near," Erthril tells him, softening his eyes. "Then she is alright. You have to trust her as you do in the sky." He tells her, making her nod.
"I will," she whispered, making him nod slowly. "Would you like to sit?" he asked, looking toward the hay-covered ground. As she nodded, Kili made his way toward them.
"Is everything alright?" he asked, watching as she sat on the ground, knees to her chest. "She worries for Annet," Fili explained as he came to stand by her, facing his brother.
"She's a dragon; she will find a spot in the woods," Kili said, crossing his arms as she looked up at him. "I am sure of it. We could sneak you out..." He trailed off, making her smile.
"You will do no such thing; we will wait until morning," Gandalf said as he walked past them, giving Erthril a glance that caused her to nod.
"All right, now, get some sleep. All of you. You'll be safe here tonight." Gandalf announces as she lays her head on her knee. Fili looked from his brother to her and took the spot beside her.
"When you are ready for sleep, tell me," he says, leaning over to her. She nods as she closes her eyes.
As the minutes passed, Kili came to sit on her other side. He gave her a gentle nudge, causing her to look up at him. "Do you remember much of your home?" he asked quietly, as the others had fallen asleep except for Gandalf, who was looking out one of the windows.
"I do not know much. I was only a baby when it happened," she told him as Fili looked at her softly. "Gandalf told me that it was called Kraxilas," she told him, making his eyes light with realization.
"I have heard much about it from my mother. She told me that dragons flew in the air in the many." Kili told her as Fili watched her reactions closely. She let herself smile proudly, "There were plenty until he came." she said, her smile dropping, causing Fili to give his brother a look.
"Let us rest. You should wake early for Annet," Fili told her, and she gave a sharp nod before laying her head back on the wall. The two brothers shared a silent conversation before Kili rose and went to find a spot to sleep.
