Erthril returned to the room, seeing them all asleep on the floor. She smiled, seeing them as she remembered Lord Elronds words.
"Are you all right?" She looked over at the balcony to see Fili looking at her. He was sat against the railing as if he had been watching her and Elrond from afar.
She gave him a nod as she walked toward him. She sat down beside him, leaning her head back against the rail.
"He told me about my parents." Fili turned his head, looking at her. "Balin was right. He knew my parents, and they would bring their dragons when they would visit."
She turned, looking at him before asking him with her eyes. He nodded his head, and she laid hers on his. "What were they like?"
"He told me they loved me even before I was born. They were both great fighters." She tells him, making him smile.
"I could have told you that. It is in your nature to fight." He tells her, making her smile. "I know."
"You should rest. You have had a long day." He tells her gently, and she closes her eyes.
They both fell asleep with her head on his as his hand was in hers. As the others woke, they got prepared before waking them.
She woke feeling someone pat her shoulder. She lifted her head to see Balin smiling at her. "We are leaving." He tells her as she stands.
Fili wakes after her and gets up to his feet. "What do you mean?" She asked, looking at the others who stood by the door talking.
"Thorin says we don't need the Elves' help." He tells her, making her sigh and turns to look at Annet. Annet now stood waiting for her rider.
"I will take Annet in the sky. Will you be all right without me?" She jests, looking at Balin, who smiles. "I believe we can manage if you are ahead of us."
She nods at him before walking to the group. "I will fly above you, watching ahead." She tells Thorin, who looks at her with a neutral expression.
"That will be quite all right." He tells her, and they made way for her to pass. She made her way out of the room.
She smiled as she walked down the steps and saw Annet eating. "Have they fed you so much you cannot fly?" She jests, looking at Annet, who flaps her wing.
"You cannot knock me down now. Come on. We have to follow them." She tells Annet, who lets out a purr. "It'll be fine."
She grabs her gloves from the pouch and climbs up Annet. She put her gloves on, then Annet took to the skies.
