The Jaguar was coated in water that gleamed in the sun that was trying to escape through the clouds, I had never paid much attention to it before but it was a powerful looking car.
"Do you have a car to get home in?"
"Yeah, I'm in the wrecked black Buick parked next to that ridiculously expensive Jaguar that just pulled in".
"Hmmm I wonder who's that is" I pretended
"I don't know, but whoever's it is really likes to stand out"
We didn't speak again until we had stopped outside the driver's side of her old Buick.
"Do you know when your ride will be here?" She questioned
"Yes, It's next to you" I laughed.
She gaped at my gleaming scarlet Jaguar, blinking hard and fast as if she now didn't believe it was there.
"You're kidding" She gasped.
I simply shook my head, with another idiotic and tooth baring grin on my face
"Wow..." She couldn't seem to form a sentence.
"Drive safely, Stacey." I requested.
"You too Justin, not that you would have any concern for safety in that" She was still astounded.
"Have a nice evening" I said before I climbed into my car where Jared was waiting.
I waved to her through the tinted glass not entirely sure if she could see me, Jared accelerated and sped through the rain that smashed down angrily.
I was conscious of eyes inspecting me as Jared drove the Jaguar into my garage. I gestured a goodbye to and rushed to the door, desperate to get out of the stare. I rammed the door open and slammed it twice as hard.
I headed into the kitchen for a sandwich; I hadn't had anything to eat at all today so I was ravenous. I opted for a chicken and mayonnaise wrap with lettuce. I hadn't been eating properly since Luna left, my mind had been too preoccupied with thoughts of her and now
Stacey.
It was like I was obsessed with her, most hours I daydreamed of her and in the hours that I wasn't looking at her I was thinking about her and what it would be like to hold her in my arms once more.
