It was not until late evening she had finally came out of her unconscious state, I had stayed by her side to ensure she was still breathing, I also fixed her dress for her, my mother had taught me to sew. I had water ready for her on the bedside cabinet for when she woke, in my peripheral vision I saw her eyes flutter open like wings of a hummingbird, they darted to me with confusion swarming in them.

"What happened?" She mumbled as she sat up with her hand on her head.

"We were sitting downstairs, you had coffee and split on the floor, and the next thing I knew you were breathing way to fast and I guess you either passed out or fell asleep."

After I had spoken there were no more words said by either of us for a while, the only sound was the sound of water being swallowed by Stacey.

"Asthma." She stated, I nodded in understanding.

"What time is it?" She broke the silence.

I glanced at my watch before answering "It's just gone 9pm"

"No way!" She denied.

I just nodded at her.

"I was supposed to be home before Marcus!" She blurted.

"Marcus?"

"My, roommate, if you like." She clarified before adding "Can you excuse me for a second whilst I put my dress back on?"

"Of course" I muttered, feeling awkward.

I went back downstairs to clean up the coffee mess on the floor, speculating over this freshly acquired information but as I got back up from cleaning the floor I noticed Stacey's mobile lying on the chair.

I was debating on going through it, it was an outdated Nokia which has obviously seen better days. It had multiple scratches on the surface, a chip in the screen and one of the keys was missing. I pressed down on the menu button and the screen lit up, it indicated one new message.

I heard Stacey coming down the stars so I swiftly locked it again and tried to act the least suspicious as possible.

Before I could make the decision to look through it, Stacey had come back down the stairs.

"Listen, Justin. Thank you for everything today, sorry I'm leaving in a rush."

"Would you like me to walk you?" I offered, wanting to see she got home safely.

"No, that won't be necessary, but thank you." She turned on her heel and was gone.

I was frustrated, so deciding to call it a day; I hiked back up the stairs and straight into my bed, not bothering to get changed out of my work clothes other than suit top, jacket and tie.

Whoever this 'roommate' was obviously was something more than that if he was setting her a curfew.

I decided to take a bath, I needed to unwind and relax my aching muscles. Now,I know cold showers are more traditional for relieving tension, but I was enjoy the warmth and relaxation the heat brung. The bathtub was huge, it had red taps. The floor was black tiles and the walls where a grey, almost white colour.

As soon as the bath was full I peeled off my creased clothes and shoved them in the laundry bin.

I slipped into the bath; submerging myself in the soapy water and took a long, deep breath.

I dunked my head under the water to wet my hair and then I stretched for to reach the shampoo, the familiar citrus scent soothed me further. I worked it into my hair until it was a thick lather, then I washed it all out into the warm bath water.
