As headed up into the bedroom I decided that it was pointless to put on a suit because I planned to be there for 2 hours tops.

I pulled out Ralph Lauren white polo T-shirt and a pair of black skinny denim jeans that still had the price tag of £213.95 on it. I ripped it off and slipped on some all black converse. I really didn't get out enough.

My side swept hair looked unexpectedly nice for bed hair. As i gazed in the bathroom mirror I realized the purple rings that were under my eyes had almost faded too, and I actually looked almost blissful.

So exactly 18 minutes later I was outside the doors of Alpha, I remembered that I had never come into work wearing casual clothes, I laughed quietly to myself as I headed through the glass doors that looked as if they belonged in the future.

"Justin" The receptionist, Jared, greeted. I simply nodded.

"Sorry to call you in like this on your day off, but I really don't think that this can wait-"

"Please spare your mumbling for someone else, because I am currently not in the mood for such excuses" I cut him off rudely.

I turned the corner and saw Stacey who appeared to have even more bruises blooming on her too pale skin, but she still looked as beautiful as ever, her eyes still shone despite the fact that they where obscured by pure sadness.

"Stacey" I addressed her, discreetly drinking in the sight of her.

Her eyes bulged out of their sockets and she gaped at me, no doubt surprised by my casual attire. She quickly regained her composure.

"Hello, Justin, Sorry about this." Her bottom lip trembled as if she was about to sob.

"No problem, if you don't mind i would like to examine this message myself" and get the hell out of here, I added to myself.

"It's open on my PC in my office, but really I don't think its anything. Just a spam" she informed me.

I sighed quietly. I presumed she would have already had it printed it out.

We filed into the lift in silence, I contemplated on whether I should ask her about her injurys, after all I am her boss I have a responsibility to keep my staff safe. But at the same time,it was not my business to rummage through her life.
Hell, I was making excuses now, I was just nosey.

However, my curiosity unfortunately got the better of me

"Excuse my intrusion, I don't mean to pry in your personal life and do not feel like you are obliged to provide an answer. However I have a responsibility to ensure my staff are safe and I couldn't help but notice you have a very painful looking contusion on your jaw and several red marks on your cheek." As soon as the words were out I regretted saying them because her face was full of anguish and looked very haunting. Her eyes tunnelled into mine, emerald green to Icy blue, her expression softening with each passing second.

Then , very unpredictably she threw her arms around me, and sobbed into my chest.

A few moments passed as i was unable to outline what to do, I just put my arms around her, knowing that it was wrong to do so. We stood in this strange embrace for a long time, her sobbing gently and me soothingly holding her. This gave me a little time to think, of course I had absolutely no intention of making her upset or reminding her of something painful. But I had to admit that I was utterly enchanted by this girl.

After her sobbing had quieted, she unwound her arms from me and I released her she raised her tearstained face to my shocked one.

"I'm sorry-I-I- don't know what came-ov-vv-er me" She managed to say between sobs.

I placed my finger under her chin and lifted it so her eyes were locked with mine.

"Please don't keep apologizing, you have done nothing wrong. Of course I don't understand what you may have endured to make you feel like this, but you know what? the way I see it is that you seem to blame all the things that go wrong on yourself, which isn't the case." I told her truthfully. She seemed to be rendered speechless.

After a short pause that seemed endless she finally said as quiet as the wind

"you couldn't understand."

We both turned to walk out of the elevator; the doors had been open and waiting for us to stroll out.
