In total It took just 10 minutes for the paramedics to get here. The flashing lights on top of the ambulance pulsed lively in front of my hazy eyes.

I was in desperate need to get my head sorted out, I was very fortunate that no large clumps of glass had become wedged in my head because then I really would have been in a mess.

"Ok well Justin, I have to say you got extraordinarily lucky, given the circumstances. Just take it easy for the next few days because you have suffered a very powerful knock to the head" The brown haired male medical assistant told me, he almost looked too young to have a job.

"Thanks ever so much for treating me, in my position I am sure you can understand taking it easy isn't exactly an option" I said dryly as his lips thinned into a hard line.

"I thought you would say that, is there any chance you can have it arranged that the company shuts down for a fe-" He was interrupted by my laugh of incredulity.

"You think I can just shut the company down for a few days? Do you have any clue what that would mean? ..." I trailed off as I saw he had seen my point.

"Just don't go over the top" He gave me one last look and walked away in the opposite direction to where I was seated and summoned another paramedic to overview the situation to me.

"Well Mr. Cooper you have not sustained any serious damage today." The nurse informed me.

"Yes your friend over there just informed me of that." I stated rudely.

She was about 5"5 and her black hair was cropped into a shape that curved around her aging face, I would make an estimate that she was in her late 50's she wore no make up and her green eyes that were more than likely once full of life, now were dulled from years of realising that life is not easy.

"We also had a message from someone dressed in black? Said his name wasn't important but this message was" She handed me the screwed up note with a cautious look plastered on her face my head was still throbbing with so much pain; despite all the medication I had been given I could barely make out the deplorable words that were scrawled on the page.

To Justin Cooper

Consider this to be a serious warning, I realized you have chosen to ignore my previous messages because either you are overconfident or you think its all some kind of a joke,I choose the latter.

But I mean it , set another hand on her and your both really in for it this time but just thought you should get it into your head that she is none of your business. If you try to make her your business, you will regret ever being born.

Sincerely, Your worst nightmare.

I stared at the note, my face grew more ashen as the seconds went past as I realized this wasn't some practical joke.

This was real. Also, this was not some set up film. There is no one to save you, nobody will come and drag you out of the deep the moment before you die and it is all up to you to make the right decisions.

Not giving it a second thought I crumpled the note up again and shoved it in my pocket I rose from the chair and ran away from the bustle of the hospital, ignoring all of the calls that echoed behind me. I pulled out my iPhone.

"Alpha Software, Jared sp-" I cut him off

"Jared, its Justin, go get someone to take me in the Jag, I cant stay in there any longer." I demanded, not bothering with manners.

"Where to?"

"My home, as you can see outside my car is wrecked and I am in no condition to drive."

There was a muffled argument in the background, followed by a crash of an object.

"It appears Cameron is very resistant to collect you, In fact he just stormed out of the building, sir."

"Well I'm not standing here in the downpour!"

"No I wasn't implying that, I will take you in the Jaguar"

Deciding it was too risky to stay were the paramedics could see me and try to rein me back in. I headed round the corner and stood outside.

"I'm outside the newsagents shop round the corner from reception" I hung up.

I turned my still partly clouded vision to the left of me where I shockingly saw Stacey sitting on a dilapidated bench; I presumed she was on her break.

But what was she doing out here all by herself? Then again, why couldn't she be? She wasn't wrapped up in my little private drama- except that I had no doubts about my problems being linked to her.

She was staring blankly out into the rain that had now picked up quite considerably.
