The week passed fast.  They usually fly by, with how busy the babies keep them. It's overwhelming, but at the same time exciting, and fun. The babies' personalities are coming out more each day.  They are getting so spoiled which is ok. They know that crying gets them what they want. They can get mad and have little tempers. Which Tom was telling Sydney he thinks that is so funny that such tiny little babies can have a temper.

Sydney had been thinking all week about last week. How Tom is such a great husband and dad. How he is always so sweet taking care of her and helping with the babies. She knew it wasn't always like that with other men. Not just her father. But just from the other mom's that have commented to her, either when they are out, or when they take the babies to the doctor for checkups.  Like the last checkup, Tom had to go to the men's room, but didn't want to leave Sydney sitting with the 3 babies.  She told him she was fine.  Tom kissed her and the babies and then left.

The lady next to her told her she admired him, as to how he helped her and seemed like he took good care of her and the babies.  Sydney knew her from both being pregnant at the same time, and all the times seeing her in the waiting room every month at the appointments, and not one time did she see her husband. I mean this lady had 4 kids, not all at once.  She had  all 4 kids with her all under 5.   Sydney had told her that Tommy was great with the babies.  Did everything, diaper changes, feedings, baths, he wanted to help.  The lady told her she figured that was the case,  since he was helping her in the appointments and never missed an appointment.  The lady told her how her husband said it's not his job to change a diaper, 4 kids, and he hasn't changed a single diaper.  He is a good dad, but he's more of a provider, he thinks diapers are a woman's job. And he expects since I am home during the day, to have a hot supper ready for him when he comes home.  Sydney told her she was so sorry. That Tom was so wonderful. He would cook or go get takeout.

Sydney wanted Tom to be able to relax and just hang out with the guys. Like go work on a car or a motorcycle, and then go have a few beers, shoot a game of pool. Like in the afternoon.  So, she was talking to Judy, and Judy said that she figured she would have a hard time making Tom do that.  Sydney said she knew but thought it would do him good.

Judy said maybe if they approached Tom about it, by telling him that they wanted to make a short trip to the mall, just maybe lunch at Mi Cocina, and a trip to a couple baby stores, that while they do that Tom could go meet the guys to play pool, and drink beers.  Judy would be there to help her with the babies, and maybe play it up like Sydney needs a break just to hang out with Judy.  Judy said that she could ask Tom first, saying I really want Sydney to know that she's my bestie, and I would never replace her.  Judy told Sydney how bad she still felt that Sydney felt that way.

Tom wasn't happy about it, but he agreed, and knew that he drove Sydney crazy hovering, and that he knew she needed time with Judy.  Sydney said, "So how about you go with Doug, Dennis, and Harry, Play pool, have beer. Just relax" Tom said, "no how about I stay home with the babies, and you and Judy can relax, have fun, talk."  Sydney said, "Tommy you never go out with the guys."

Tom said, "Damn have I been played."  Sydney said, "What."  Tom said, "Sydney last week. I thought I told you made you see that I am not tied down."

Sydney said, "Babe I know. I just.  Look I've been thinking. You are the best daddy and the best husband. All you do for me, for the babies. All the help you give me with them. Tom I'm so lucky and blessed. A lot of women don't get help like this." Tom said, "Sydney I want to do it. They are my babies too."  He smirked, "you are aware of that right, that I'm your babies daddy."  Sydney laughed. So did Tom.

Sydney said, "I know I just it would help you maybe. I know you don't sleep well. You have nightmares. It would help just to relax. I'm not saying go get drunk, stay out, go out at night and stay out all night. I'm saying go out to lunch with the guys, have a few beers, shoot pool, and then you can take care of the babies when I get back. In fact, I'll let you have all the diaper changes the rest of the day."  She smiled.  He said, "gee thanks."  He laughed.
