CAN LOVE SAVE (A HIGH SCHOOL REUNION JUMP STREET STYLE PART TWO}

CHAPTER 11: EMOTIONAL

Sydney fell back a little. She had gotten up before Tom had told her.  Tom got up and caught her.  Sydney couldn't believe what she heard.  Tom said "Sydney baby"  She said "Tom I couldn't have heard you right"  He said "I wish you didn't hell I wish I didn't know."  Sydney said "So what it's true"  Tom said "yes."  Sydney said "my dad is alive and he lives close by"  Tom nodded.  She said "Tom no look I don't know  but someone gave you wrong information. I mean that is just so cruel Tom who would do that, tell you lies like that."

Tom said, "it's not a lie."  Sydney said, "it has to be."  Tom said, "No baby it's not."  Sydney said, "Did you check it out" Tom said "no I didn't need to. I know what they are saying is true, they had proof."  Sydney said "proof what Tom no. That is ridiculous. My dad isn't living near Dallas ok."  Tom said, "I'm sorry Sydney but he is."

Sydney sat back down.  Tom hugged her and kissed her forehead and both cheeks" he said "Baby I'm sorry. I knew this was going to hurt you."  Sydney said, "So you said living the high life, what's that mean" She was crying.

Tom said, "that son of a bitch is loaded, living in some mansion" Sydney said "What no Tommy no he can't be. Look I mean I have to admit I wondered if he was alive or if he was maybe dead. I thought maybe he was dead, and that is why he never came back for me. I mean I think that probably he maybe Tommy he got a call from his doctor's office that he was diagnosed with a terminal illness like cancer, and he was dying so he went away so I didn't have to watch" She was crying.

She said "Tommy that's what happened right.  Your source is mistaken" Tom said "No baby I'm so so sorry. Your dad is alive and well, and rich bastard."   He hugged her.  She cried on his shoulder.

He said "Baby I'm so sorry. Look please let's forget about this ok. Now that I told you."  She said "No Tommy I don't understand. Why would someone tell you this, were you searching for my dad without telling me. How could you do that?"  Tom said "Sydney no I wasn't. I wouldn't do that. I was approached ok, I didn't know anything about it, then this source told me info that they thought I needed to know."

Sydney said "he's rich."  Tom nodded. Sydney was crying.  She said "So does he have a family Tom"  Tom said "Sydney forget about him, he's a jerk, he's a dirtbag asshole, hell Sydney I want to go over there and kick his ass, I mean if I didn't know I'd end up in jail with assault charges and away from you and the babies I would do it. I hate that man so bad I could kill him."

Sydney stared at Tom.  She said "Tommy does he have a family or do you not know"  Tom said "Sydney it doesn't matter ok"  Sydney said "So he does then"  Tom said "yeah he's married."  Sydney said "What about kids? I mean I've always wondered if he was alive if he had a family, if I had a brother or sister."  Tom looked at her.

Tom didn't want to answer cause he knew what the answer would do to Sydney. He was afraid she would start believing the lies that her mom told her, that she was the reason he left.

Sydney said "Tommy answer me. Does he have kids, did your source say?"  Tom didn't say anything. He took her hands, kissed them. He nodded. She said "What he does have kids."  Tom said "yes."  Sydney said "um so I have a sibling or more than one"  Tom said "4."  Sydney said "4, did you say 4 so what brothers are they all boys?"  Tom shook his head no. Sydney's heart broke. Tom could see it in her eyes. She was shaking, her hands, her whole body.  She was crying.

Tom said "Baby I'm so so sorry. Come here"  He held her and she cried on his shoulder.  Tom pulled away and kissed her, he wiped away the tears and kissed her cheeks.  He said "Baby it doesn't matter ok nothing has changed. We love each other, we have a beautiful little family our 3 beautiful angels and our Abby"

Sydney said "So then my mom she was right."  Tom said "no."  He almost shouted at her.  he said "Don't say that. Sydney no your bitch of a mom wasn't right."  Sydney said "She must have been"  Tom said "Sydney no dammit. I knew you'd react like this."  Sydney said "Tom how else can I react facts are facts"  Tom said "Dammit Michelle, Sydney Hanson you listen to me. You hear me."
