CHAPTER 4: CELEBRATION

Sydney was getting stronger. Tom was still so worried about her, he practically freaked out if she got up to even walk into the kitchen.  Sydney tried to reassure him that she was ok.  Tom told her he knew that, and he was sorry, but he almost lost her, and it scared him so bad. He can't live his life without her.  Sydney said "baby I'm so sorry. I know I scared you."  He said "hey it's not your fault ok. You are just going to need to be patient with me, because it's going to take me awhile to relax."  Sydney was holding Sierra and Madison and Tom had Thomas.  Tom said "baby I still can't believe how beautiful and sweet are babies are.  I love them so much, more than I even thought I could"  Sydney said "I know. Tommy.  They are the most beautiful babies ever born."

Sydney kissed them.  Tom said "I definitely agree."  Tom kissed them.  Tom said "Of course you do know why that is don't you?"  He smiled.  She said "Why cause their daddy is so handsome."  He laughed.  He said "no because their mother is the most beautiful woman in the universe."  Sydney smiled.  Tom kissed her.

Sydney nursed them. Tom said "ok momma is it ok if I take the babies out to mom and Judy? "  Sydney said "Tommy can't they stay here."  Tom said "baby please you need to lie down and get some rest. You are trying to do too much too fast"  Sydney said "Tom I'm fine. The doctor released."  Tom said "Syd stop you know that she didn't release you a full release, she said you can start nursing and you can get out of bed some, and once in a while go out of the house. But you are wanting to be the only one to take care of the babies."  Sydney said "But Tommy I missed all that time with them."  Tom said "I know that honey. I'm sorry about that. But you are nursing 3 babies, it is taking a lot out of you, when you are still trying to build up your strength. Please baby do this for me ok. I promise I will go get them and bring them back in here in a few hours."

Sydney said "Tom I'm fine. You really are starting to irritate me. I love you but dang Tom."  Tom said "I know ok I'm sorry, but baby please do this for me."  Sydney said "Fine Tom go on and take my babies away from me."  Tom scratched back of his head.  Tom said "Sydney that's not what I'm trying to do."

Sydney said "I know that. I'm sorry ok. I'm tired and I just I'm sorry. I shouldn't have snapped at you or said that."  Tom said "no it's fine. I do understand. I know how much time you lost with them when they were just born. I know you want to be the one who does everything for them. I love you for that. you are the best mom sweetheart."

Sydney said "ok Madison, Sierra, Thomas mommy loves you so much, but go with daddy."  Tom said "I'll take the girls first and then come get Thomas."  Sydney gave them lots of kisses.  Tom went to the living room. Judy said "yes there are our babies."  Tom smiled.  He said "yeah well I'm in the doghouse now. So."  Judy and Tom's mom laughed. Tom said "Geez guys thanks a lot. My wife's mad at me and you guys laugh."  He rolled his eyes and then laughed.  He said "I'll go get Thomas."

Abby was laying on the bed by Sydney.  Tom took Thomas and then went back.  Sydney was crying.  Tom said "Sydney I'm sorry."  She said "it's ok. It's just hard for me to be away from them when I missed so much time with them."  Tom got on the bed.  He said "I know. Look I'm sorry I know I'm driving you insane."  Sydney said "Actually yeah you are driving me crazy Tom."  Tom said "I know it and I'm sorry. I'm trying to not ok, but I don't think you realize how in love I am with you. How when I thought I lost you, when the doctors said there wasn't anything else they could do, when they were telling me about end of life and hospice care, that I needed to move you to a facility, I don't think you know what that did to me."

Sydney said "Hanson come here."  She hugged him.  Tom said "Sydney I'm serious I can't live without you ok. I don't want to ever go back to my life the way it was before we got together, and the fact that you are Michelle, it just makes it that much more. I don't mean to smother you, or drive you crazy, watching every move you make, and then getting on you about it ok. But yeah if I had my way I'd probably carry you around from here on out."  She laughed.  So did he.
