You blinked eyes open and saw a head of platinum hair. It was messy, but cute. You laughed softly and swung you legs over the edge of the bed. Dave had his shades on, like he always did. They rested comfortably on his freckled nose, and you wanted to see his beautiful eyes again.

Carefully, oh ever so carefully, you removed his glasses and found the flaw in your plan: he was sleeping. You couldn't see his eyes.

Suddenly, Dave stirred, revealing his beautiful crimson red eyes. Dave noticed his glasses in your hands and he jerked back, smacking his head on the headboard against which he sat.

"Give them back!" You allowed Dave to take back his shades, not wanting to make him angry.

"What's so bad about your eyes?" You blurted. "I've seen them before and they're-"

"Horrible," Dave finished. He put back on his shades, hiding his emotions from the world once again.

"Beautiful!" You argued. "Not horrible."

Dave scrunched his eyebrows and stood up. "What?"

"Beautiful," you repeated confidently.

Dave looked down at your lips, then back up to your eyes. You were inches away from him. He leaned forward, and his soft lips brushed against yours. You gasped as Dave pulled you closer. His hands pressed firmly against your back and you wrapped your arms around his neck. In between kisses you let out tiny giggles.

The door opened Dave pushed you away, both of your cheeks burning. Nepeta stood at the door looking excited. "DAVE KISSED (Y/N)!" She shouted cheerfully. Several cheers could be heard from the living room.

You buried your head in Dave's shoulder and groaned, "Kill me now."

He smiled into your (H/C) hair. "Very funny."

Several 'aw's could be heard from the door. You watched Dave look up, and you turned to look. Kanaya, Sollux, Terezi, Gamzee, Feferi, Jade, and Nepeta all stood crammed in the doorway.

"Hey," Dave complained.

"Sorry, sorry!" Nepeta squealed and pulled the door shut.

"I'm sorry, (Y/N)," he apologized. "My friends... They're... Annoying."

"No, it's okay. They're great," you assured him. Dave rested his forehead against yours and you noticed he still had his glasses on. "You don't need these, anymore," you told him.

"Yeah, well, I've got a cool kid reputation to uphold, Princess," Dave said and smiled.

"Fuckass."

"Hungry?" He asked gently.

"Yeah," you replied.

"We could go to Q's," Dave offered.

"That sounds good, cause I'm in the mood for pancakes."

Dave laughed and kissed you again. You smiled against his lips. "Okay, okay, enough," you said. "I'm hungry."

|---•---| <-- HEY GUYS LOOK! A TYFIGHTER (think that's what it's called...) TIMESKIP WHILE YOU WERE LOOKING AT THE SPACESHIP!

Dave pushed open the door and pulled you inside. At the next door, he opened it, and let you go first. "Princesses first."

"How may I help you?" A frilly voice asked. You turned and saw a girl, maybe your age, smile intently at Dave. She was twirling curly brown pigtails in her fingers, her cheeks burning. Her name tag read, "Minnie".

"A table for two, please, Minnie." Dave smiled and another waitress, this one much older, came and led us to our table. You grabbed Dave's hand as you passed Minnie and glared at her (you wanted to kick her in the shin, but...). She drew back startled, before returning the same look.

You were seated at a window table and two menus were placed in front of you. You grabbed one and opened it up, just to find hundreds of delicious food words jump out at you. There were, pancakes, fruit pancakes, chocolate chip pancakes, peanut butter pancakes, French toast, waffles, eggs, one lets, bacon... You name it, they got it!

"How am I going to decide?" You exclaimed. Dave looked up, clearly amused.

"May I suggest the apple pancakes with extra whip cream?" Dave offered.

"Hmmm, that doesn't sound too bad..." You contemplated the offer.
"Apple pancakes it is."

Dave gave a small whoop of excitement just as Minnie came up to our table. "What can I get you to drink, sweetheart?" She asked Dave. You were ready to kick her in the shins now.

"Apple juice, thanks," Dave said and handed her a menu. "And we've both decided on apple pancakes with extra whipped cream."

She gave an empty smile to you. "What can I get you?"

"Hot cocoa please, whip cream and sprinkles." You were still glaring at her as she walked away.

"What's wrong?" Dave asked, grabbing your hand.

"Nothing, nothing," you quickly said, turning away. "Those are some pretty clouds-"

"(Y/N), seriously." Dave knew something was up.

"She was hitting on you," you complained. You placed your head in your hands, embarrassed.

"(Y/N)," Dave breathed. "That's what you were hiding?"

You looked up and saw Dave trying not to laugh. "Stop it!" You whined and hit him on the arm. "Stop."

"(Y/N), it's not like I'm flirting back. You're my girlfriend-" You stiffened and he stopped. "I..."

There was an unspoken question hanging in the air. You finally worked up the guts and asked it. "So... Are we... Together...?" You looked at him.

"(Y/N), I like you. I really really like you," Dave said blushing. "But I'm not going to push you into-"

"I'm not ready for? No, I really like you too. I'm not not ready," you decided. "Oh, fuck, that sounded cheesy..."

"Yeah, it did," Dave laughed.

Minnie came up, her hands full of plates. "Here you go," she said placing two plates of apple pancakes on the table. Then she set down my hot cocoa along with Dave's apple juice. She winked at Dave.

"I'm taken," he said calmly. You tried not to laugh as Minnie stormed off, her heels clicking against the checkered tile floor.

"That was... Interesting...."

Dave smiled. "Anything for you, Princess."

"Fuckass."
