Since Prom at Oak Creek High School had been three weeks ago, Dave and Dirk and all of your friends put together a late Prom. It's theme- of course it has to have a theme- was the 19th century. Everyone was to dress up in older clothing, but still look as if they were attending a prom.

"Do you want to go with sea foam green or lake foam green?" You asked Dave as you held up two minty-teal dresses. {DUDES ANYONE GUESS WHAT I REFERENCED THERE}

Dave looked dumbfounded at you. "Uh... Lake... Sea...????"

"I'm joking you dumbass," You laughed. "These dresses are gaudy and not the right style."

Dave still didn't say anything, but picked a black dress with gold beads that jingled whenever the fabric shifted. It appeared to be from the 80s.

"NO!" You slapped it out of Dave's hands. "We're looking for hoop skirts and top hats. Like Black Butler."

That sparked a lightbulb. After all, Dirk, Dave's brother, was an anime nerd. "Ohhhhhhh. Got it."

So after picking out your dress and Dave's tux/vest, you both put on your outfits and stood in front of the mirror.

Your dress was a lipstick red with a subtle v-neckline, crisscross lace embellishments and a matching fabric bottom with a small hoop skirt underneath. Dave was dressed in the same tone of red but darker in a victorian style vest and black dress pants.

(pretend your dress is clean and a red in the picture)

"You look gorgeous," Dave said, leaning over you shoulder and wrapping his arms around your hips. He kissed your jawline then nuzzled the side of his head so that it was next to yours.

"And you look handsome," you winked at him and tucked your hands around his. You giggled a bit as he squeezed you tight. "Ah!"

He laughed, kissed you once more, and let go. Dave vanished into the dressing room and changed back into his normal clothing. You followed suit.

Prom was the day before your high school graduating ceremony on the last day, which was three days away. There was a banquet for the graduating class on the last day, so that date had been cast away.

You grabbed a pair of victorian boots that laced up to mid calf and a matching hat too. The day of, you'd get your hair done (for long hair: in drill curls) (for short hair: idk you can pick). Maddie and Dirk were wearing orange, Michaela and her boyfriend, Connor, were wearing a blue that Michaela called "ocean drift wood", and since school was over back in (old state or whatever) everybody carpooled for a high school road trip. (dont kill me for this next part pls some of these i dont ship but were leftovers) Nepeta was going with Equius, Karkat was going with Terezi, Feferi was going with Eridan, Sollux was going with Aradia, Kanaya with Rose, and Gamzee was going with Tavros (Vriska wasn't invited).

So, now, you and Dave were walking home.

"What college have you applied for?" You asked him quietly.

"None," he replied, studying his hands as he worked them together.

"Me neither." You looked over at him and tugged on his shirt sleeve. "You should get a music degree."

"And you should get an art degree." He grinned. "You're really beautiful. Did you know that?"

"Only because you tell me every minute of the day." You leaned on his shoulder, casually and quietly. "Maybe I'll experiment. Wait a year. Maybe I'll end up doing banking or something. Or science."

"That sounds good."

You looked away. "You know, with an adult's permission, I can live on my own now."

Dave stopped walking, his face solemn. "I don't want you to leave," he whispered. His voice cracked with sadness.

"I don't want to leave, again, either. I'd stay in the area, though. I wouldn't go back to (old home)." You promised.

Dave changed the subject. "I'm tired."

"Me too."

"Wanna take a nap when we get back?"

"Yeah, sounds good."

"Okay."
