You woke up to the smell of Dave. Groggily, you decided that you were no longer laying in the grass. There was a soft cushion underneath you that felt like a stack of pillows.
"Hm..." You stretched out your arms, pulling the muscles in your back until they released their tense position. You opened your eyes.
You were in Dave's room, cuddled into his covers that held a strong smell of him in their softness. You took a deep breath in, wondering where he was and why he wasn't next to you.
"Dave?" You called out. He didn't answer, but your ears caught the sound of snoring down
You hopped off of Dave's bed and tiptoed down into the living room. Dave was snoring on the couch. His left arm was hanging off of the edge. He's so damn cute. You couldn't resist and grabbed a blanket from the floor. You moved Dave's arm so you could lay next to him. The blanket rested on top of both of you. You were smushed as close as possible to Dave. The smell of him hit your nose again: vanilla and apples. You rested your head against his chest and lulled yourself to sleep to the beat of his heart.
-sleep time again because youre very tired after events-
-back to dirk?-
-sure why not they are an adorable couple (dirks pov)-
As Your Lie In April episode 1 ran on my laptop, Maddie had fallen asleep on my chest. We both decided that we wanted to watch a new anime together after finishing ep. 1 of SAO. Her knees were pulled up on the seat and tucked in my side while her small fists loosely held onto my shirt. I had my arm around her shoulder, rubbing it softly.
This was our first date, yeah, but Maddie and I had met awhile ago, online actually. She had told me she lived in Wisconsin, and when I heard my job had an offer there, I jumped for it. We first saw each other at the grocery store in the pocky aisle. I knew it was her from first glance- I mean, she's gorgeous, adorable, and her smile is unlike any other. I decided it was time we got to know each other better. She said yes, and gave me the smile that melted me.
I kissed the top of her head gently. "You're pretty adorable, you know." She wouldn't hear me, I knew, but I meant it.
The clock read 7:55. I should start getting her home soon, but I shouldn't wake her, and I can't drive with her next to me.
"Aaahhcheeeew!" I jumped away from Maddie's small body as a high-pitched, ear-piercing sneeze filled the car. She sniffled a bit and opened her eyes, still groggy from her nap.
"I'm sorry!" Maddie apologized quickly. Her eyes were brimming with tears from the sneeze. "A-a-" she sneezed again. "Allergies."
"Ah," I grinned. She smiled, too, breathing in through her mouth.
"Do you have a cat or dog or something?" Maddie asked.
I shook my head. "The only pet I have is Dave, but the people in the apartment did. I wonder if I picked up some cat dander."
"That must-" Sneeze. "Be it." Maddie put a kiss on my arm and hopped back over to her seat. "You should be taking me home."
"I know, I was actually just about to wake you," I told her.
"Hm." She buckled herself in and sat on her hands. Maddie was on the edge of her seat, just as excited as before she crashed and took a nap.
-lets go back to you and dave shall we-
-we shall-
You woke up again. This time, Dave was next to you, but was breathing heavily on your face. You scrunched your nose.
"I knew you'd wake up sooner or later," he laughed.
"Why'd you wake me up, you dumbass? I was very happy!" You shout whispered.
"Well, I caught a little sneaker on my couch. I dunno." Dave blinked, and you realized that he didn't have his shades on.
"I like your eyes," you told him quietly.
"I like your face," he answered.
You were definitely going to outdo him.
"I like your body."
Dave gave you the trademark, patented Strider smirk.
"What did I say- OH SHIT-"
You rolled off of the couch onto the floor and laughed until you couldn't breathe.
"I know, I'm pretty sexy aren't I." Dave flipped his short bangs (this is actually p fun like when you swoosh your head they swish) and did a lenny face thing.
You pretended to flip a table.
"You're such a meme," Dave laughed.
"IM HUNGRY-" You screamed.
"Same." He got off of the couch and scooped you up, carrying you over to the fridge. There was a note attached to the door.
"TO DAVE: IM GOING OUT SO MAKE YOURSELF DINNER! THERE IS KRAFT MAC IN THE PANTRY! ~DIRK"
"I WANT MACARONI AND CHEESEEEEEEEE!" You threw your arms up and snatched the note off of the fridge.
"Well, sorry, (n/n), I think Dirk forgot that we haven't unpacked our pans and shit," Dave said slowly.
"WELL WERE GOING TO UNPACK THAT SHIT!"
Dave raised his eyebrows.
You whined. "I just... *sniffle* really really really want m-mac and cheese..." *bats eyelashes* *pouts*
"You know what? Fine. I can't say no to that face. It's too gorgeous," he said, setting me down. "The boxes are in the guest room."
You two unpacked all the shit and found a beautiful room underneath. It was painted in (f/c- black is fine guys) and had a bathroom attached. In the corner was a beautiful art desk with tons of drawers and a pull out canvas holder.
"This is the guest bedroom," Dave told you. It would be yours, but we don't have a bed for it yet."
"Hm, well I'll just sleep on the couch. I don't mind." You shrugged absentmindedly.
"No, way, you're sleeping in my room. I'll sleep on the couch," Dave argued.
"NO"
"YES"
"NO"
"YES"
"NO"
"YES"
"Fine. You win, I'm in your room." You had been defeated. "I'm still hungry."
So the kraft mac was made, and tasted pretty damn good.
Dirk came home later with a big smile on his face. He laid down on the floor and just stared at the ceiling. You knew that smile- You had seen the same grin on Dave. Dirk was in love.
"Who wants to have a Game Night?" You suggested.
Dirk just gave a thumbs up and Dave wrapped his arms around your waist, whispering a small "yea" in your ear.
