You called for Dave. You really wanted to take a shower, but you wanted to tell Dave so he knew where you were.

"Dave!" You tried again. No such luck. "I'm going to take a shower!"

Still no. Oh whatever. You marched into the bathroom and shut the door behind you. You ran the hot water and then pulled of your shirt. The bandages were beginning to loosen. You tried to unwind it from your body, but your sore arms wouldn't allow you to.

"Hey. Need some help?" Dave offered. You nodded and turned away from him. Dave slowly took the bandage in his hand. He untucked the material from you body- all you had to do was let go of the bandages. But Dave's eyes never left your face.

"Thanks," you half-whispered.

"Need any more help?" Dave joked.

"You perv!" You shouted sillily and ushered him out the door, careful not to hurt yourself or let go of the bandages.

The hot water felt so relaxing on your back, that you spent 50 minutes in the shower. Eventually Dave had called through the door to see if you were doing alright.

You stepped out of the bathroom with a fluffy towel wrapped around your body. You made your way to your room, only to find the bed u made, and the room spotlessly clean.

You practically melted inside. Awwwwwwwww, Dave.

"Need more bandages?" Dave asked softly, his hands full of the soft material.

"Yeah," you replied. "Though, I think I can do it by myself." I want to be independent. I don't want to rely on others.

Dave's crimson eyes were understanding. "Call if you need help." He closed the door behind himself.

You dropped the towel down to your waist and carefully wrapped the long strip around your torso a few times. It hurt your muscles, but the hot water still ran its relaxing effect on them. You were able to finish the bandages with minimal pain, which actually surprised you. You also pulled on some white fuzzy pajama pants and barely managed to slide a (F/C) t-shirt over your head.

"(Y/N)?" Dave opened the door again.

"Mhmm?"

"I'm going to go home, okay? I'll pick you up for school in the morning," he said, almost as if he was regretting it.

"Mmkay," you whispered as you wrapped your arms around him.

Dave kissed you on the forehead and picked you up, laying you on the bed. He pulled back the blankets with such grace, that you thought he might float away. Dave tucked you in and gave you another kiss.

"Goodnight, Davey," you said childishly.

"Night, Princess."

You watched him sadly as he closed the door and left you to sleep. Your eyes slowly drooped closed, and you drifted off into your dreams.

You opened your eyes slowly and smelled pancakes. Apple pancakes, to be exact. The smell, as well as taste, was burned into your brain, and you often felt yourself craving the warm sweetness.

You carefully stepped down each stair, having to foot both feet on each step instead of alternating them. The smell got stronger, and you practically floated to the kitchen.

Dave was singing 'Centuries' by Fall Out Boy while flipping pancakes, AND setting the table at the same time. He didn't notice you, so you decided to take the opportunity to scare him.

You tiptoed across your kitchen, dodging the creaky floorboards. Don't ask how you knew which ones were which. When you finally reached him, you blew softly on the back of his neck and then grabbed his shoulders.

"Boo!"

Dave dropped the plates he was carrying and jumped around. "Shit!" He noticed it was you and slumped his shoulders. "(L/N), I swear..."

You laughed and kissed the top of his head. "Thanks for making breakfast."

"Well, I thought you'd want a special breakfast for your first day back," he said, smiling.

"Mmmm," you licked your lips and bounced over to the table. You sat down on the high chair, your legs dangling in the air.

Dave gave you a kiss on the head before taking the plate in front of you, filling it up, and placing it back in front of you. "Thy royal breakfast, Princess. Enjoy." You smiled and dug into your pancakes.

"Ohhmygoh, shohgooh..." You mumbled through a mouthful pancakes.

"I know," Dave smirked before taking his first bite. "I'm amazhing."

-•- leh time skip, brought to you by... Well, this this time skip just ships you and Dave, so... -•-

You stepped into the school and everybody immediately turned to stare. Dave shot daggers at anyone who pointed or leaned into share a whisper with their friends.

"Dave," you whispered, pulling on his sleeve.

"Just ignore them," he said softly and gave your hand a squeeze. "They're just assholes."

You laughed. "That makes me feel better."

"I knew it would."
