Ishika asked, “Palm jaggery sweetened Fruit punch?”

I said, “Check✅.”

Vamika asked, “Baked Nacho chips and Fresh Vegetables with guacamole dip?”

I said, “Check✅.”

Vamika asked, “Cashew Cheese Salad?”

I said, “Check✅.”

Ishika said, “Vegan ravioli in marinara sauce, Tomato basil soup, apple oatmeal cookies with cocoa Vanilla ice cream?”

I said, “Check✅. Everything is done. Good job Sous chefs Ishi & Vami.”

Vami said, “Why thank you Chef Aku.” Ishika chuckled.

You must be wondering what’s happening here right. Well, we have been prepping up for the Kapoorania party. Our Kapoor mansion basically consists of 2 parts. The 2nd part is basically for us 'the youngsters'
I was the designated head chef of the day as I had a thing for plant based cuisine and the Singhanias prefer eating plant based food most of the time except cheat days of course.

We are from a hard-core foodie yet health conscious Punjabi family. Our love for food made us grow fond of cooking as well. All of us, including our parents, know how to cook.

Adi bhaiya said, "Wow, mujhe nahi pata tha yeh ghaas poos wala khaana itna acha smell karsakta hai, najaane iska swaad kaisa hoga."

(Wow, I didn't know that vegan dishes can smell this good, I wonder how it's taste would be)

I said,"Bhaiya don't be dramatic. It's perfect. There's nothing as wholesome as vegan food." He just shook his head with a smile.

Adi bhaiya, Ved bhaiya, Ishi and Vami are all meat lovers. They keep mocking vegan food jokingly.

Ved bhaiya said, "Hey guys Nik just called on the landline. They said that they're getting the drinks. Apparently Nirav managed to get the Diva Vodka & the Mendis Coconut Brandy from San Francisco. " I froze on the spot.

Adi bhaiya said, "Awesome man."

Ved bhaiya said, "Yeah that guy sure is impressive."

I said, "I'll be right back." I excused myself and went straight upstairs to the last floor of the mansion.

I was sick of these foreign feelings within me. I couldn't understand what I was feeling. Nirav's name is enough to make my heart do somersault. I am going crazy here. I picked up my phone and just added Sam and Advi on the call.

Sam said, "Hey Aku."

Advi said, "What's the matter?"

I said, "Why? Can't I call y'all just like that? I missed y'all and wanted to talk to both of you."

They both gave me a, 'tell us already what is going on' look.

I said, "ok ok ok fine, I am feeling dizzy here, happy? I am going here."

I told them everything about whatever has happened between me and Nirav, our coffee love and the rapport that we share etc just everything. I explained it in detail to them.

Sam said, "It's simple Aku."

Advi said, "yeah Sam's right."

I said, "What do you mean?"

Sam and Advi said together, "Nirav loves you and you love him."

I was bewildered, I said, "How can that be, it's barely been a month since we both know each other, it's crazy."
