EPILOGUE

Life has been spectacular.  Mine and Akanksha's love story had just begun, and our love only grew stronger with each passing day.

After the Kapoorania party, me and Akanksha couldn't stop thinking about each other. We spent hours on the phone talking about everything and nothing, planning our future together.

At the beginning our relationship was a long distance as she was in Washington DC her brother's international branch and I am based in San Francisco.

Quite a few times I asked her to move in together as not being close to her was pure torture. She is my angel. But she refused everytime.

Suddenly a few months later, when she was visiting me she surprised me with a candle light dinner finally accepting my offer.

A month later, I proposed to Akanksha in the most romantic way possible. I took her to a secluded beach in San Francisco and got down on one knee, asking her to be mine forever. Akanksha said yes without any hesitation, and we sealed our love with a passionate kiss.

A year later, we got married in Chandigarh, in a grand ceremony, surrounded by our family and friends. It was a beautiful day filled with love, laughter, and joy.

After the wedding, we went on a romantic honeymoon to Hawaii, where we spent our days lounging on the beach, exploring the island, and making love under the stars. It was magical, so pure.

Life after marriage was a bit difficult as we were learning something new about each other everyday while adjusting with our new families and new roles.

Akanksha worked from home and kept going back and forth to Mumbai and Washington whenever required at and I was working on this big project that we got busy in our professional life.

I was working in the study room when I heard a knock on the door. I saw my angel in a cute and comfy pj she had brought me a cup of hot water.

“I'm still working, babe”, I said. I knew she was here to tell me to go to sleep.

As she wanted to cuddle and sleep with me. She smiled and then yawned. She came beside me and kept the cup of water on the table.

She was about to leave when I caught her hand and made her sit on my lap. I wrapped my arms around her small waist and kissed her bare shoulders. She just hummed.

“Okay. I will be there in twenty minutes. I am almost done. How about you go ahead and sleep? I promise I will be right there, hmm?”  I said softly in her ear. She nodded a no.

She turned on my lap with her knees over my right thigh. She faced me and I kissed her cheek. She took the cup in her hands and I drank the water as slowly as possible. She chuckled and blushed as I was flirting with her eyes as my hands roamed and explored her waist. Then when I finished drinking the water she suddenly got up.

“Nirav, I am giving you fifteen minutes to finish all the work you have left. And if you can’t finish it, leave the rest for tomorrow and come to sleep.” She gave me a warning.

“Yes, ma’am.” I said and winked at her. She smiled and left the room. By the time I finished work and went to our bedroom to sleep she was already asleep.

Just like a sweet innocent angel. My innocent angel. I freshened up and lay next to her. I was about to hug her and cuddle when she kicked my leg.

Then she turned and hugged me like I was a log - a hand over my chest and a leg over my legs. She snuggled into me and made my heartbeat faster.

This innocent girl didn’t know what she was doing to me right now. I just felt happy to have her as my wife beside me and went to sleep.

Next morning, Akanksha and I lay intertwined in each other's arms, our bodies still glistening with sweat after our passionate love-making session from this morning. Yeah, I had to have her after what she did to me in her sleep last night. She snuggled up closer to me, resting her head on my chest.

“Good morning, babe.” I said and kissed her forehead.

“Hmm, good morning.” She smiled.

“I was thinking we should take a vacation after I finish this big project. I wanna go on a second honeymoon.” I said.

“Ahm hmm. Where do you want to go?” she asked, still half asleep.

“Bali… No wait, let's go to Thailand. No. Let's go to Langkawi, Malaysia." I said excitedly.

“How about we go to all three of these places?” she asked and stared at me.

“Oh yes!” I kissed her and it turned into another love-making session.

2 MONTHS LATER

Currently, Akanksha and I lay intertwined in each other's arms in our hotel room in Bali. Today was our last day in Bali and we had a flight in the evening to Thailand.

We had planned to stay 2 weeks in thailand and then we fly to Langkawi, Malaysia for a month long stay. Today we decided to sleep in as our bodies are still glistening with sweat after our passionate love-making session.

I couldn't help but think that we had come a long way since the day we met, and our love had only grown stronger with time.

As we lay there in the bed, I couldn't help but admire the woman I had fallen in love with. Akanksha was everything I had ever wanted in a partner – smart, funny, and beautiful. I knew that I was lucky to have found her, and I promised to cherish her for the rest of my life.

Akanksha snuggled up closer to me, resting her head on my chest. "I love you, Nirav," she whispered, tracing her fingers over my chest.

"I love you too, Akanksha," I replied, kissing the top of her head.

We lay there in silence for a few minutes, lost in our own thoughts. Then Akanksha spoke up. "Nirav, do you ever think about having kids?"

I looked down at her, surprised. "I do, actually," I said. "I've always wanted to have a family."

Akanksha smiled. "Me too," she said. "I think we'd make great parents."

I nodded. "I agree. Let's start trying."

And so we did. Nine months later, we welcomed a beautiful baby girl into the world. We named her Aanya Goel, and she was the light of our lives.

I couldn't have asked for anything better than this. I am beyond satisfied with how my life has turned out to be.
