First actual chapter ahead, I hope you like it. x
Winter didn't seem to pass when in late march the temperatures were still in the lower plus range and it was constantly raining and sometimes even hailing, not to mention the freezing wind. Harry took the shitty weather as an excuse to do nothing but laying on the couch playing video games with Zayn.
"Why can't you wait until I'm seated, for fuck's sake?" Zayn complained as he crossed the living room of their shared flat and plopped down on the couch wearing nothing but sweatpants showing his tattooed torso just as Harry like everyday when they didn't intend on leaving the house.
"Don't be a fucking baby and join in." Harry muttered without taking his eyes off the screen where he just started a new game.
They didn't actually need an excuse to follow their favourite hobby- playing video games- but they deceived themselves, at least until Liam came home from work, being the only one of them who actually had a job and always complained that they were too lazy and should rather do something with their life, reminding them what huge failures they were after barely graduating Highschool because all they did was skipping school and letting the other students do their homework, dropping out of Uni because they were too lazy to study and not caring about proper jobs because their parents sent them a bit of money every month.
"Fuck you." Zayn grumbled and snatched the controller after handing Harry his beer who instantly downed half of the bottle as if it was water.
"When's Liam coming home? I'm hungry." Harry asked randomly after a while.
"Dunno, I'm not his mother." Zayn huffed.
"But his boyfriend. Call him." Harry stated unfazed.
"You call him. I'm not your mother either." Zayn scoffed.
Harry groaned and pressed pause on their game to snatch his barely working phone from the coffee table when the front door opened and a few seconds later Liam appeared in the doorframe with his hands on his hips glaring at them.
"Seriously, guys?" He asked disappointed.
"Don't even start." Zayn said.
"It's raining, we can't do anything but staying home." Harry justified and replaced the phone in his hand with the beer bottle.
"You could tidy up." Liam sighed and looked around the messy room with a quirked eyebrow.
"Good one, babe." Zayn chuckled and pressed play on the game once more when Harry grabbed his controller again.
"I'm slowly getting tired of you two. Continue like this and I will move out and you can see who will pay the rent." Liam snapped and threw his bag on the table before peeling himself out of his coat.
"Excuse me? We're practically working here. We make money with it." Harry huffed.
"Just because you're earning a bit once in a while with your stupid tournaments doesn't mean it's a proper job or you are able to pay for daily stuff." Liam scoffed.
"Just wait until we make millions and then I drop your controlling arse and get me some younger model or shit." Zayn smirked.
"Sure you will. Keep dreaming, idiot." Liam rolled his eyes and walked into the room. He grabbed the by now empty beer bottles in front of them with a sigh. "At least send out a few applications. I saw a job advertisement where you do exactly what you're doing now, minus the alcohol of course. But you'd get a good amount of money."
"What?" Harry paused the game once more and turned to Liam curiously.
"Yeah. Saw it as an ad on the internet. It's something with testing out video games or shit, I can send it to you." Liam shrugged, internally hoping they would actually consider it otherwise he didn't know what else to do or how to get them to get back in line again.
