Harry came home from work exhausted and hungry, already dreading taking a look into the fridge guessing there was nothing inside and he had to go grocery shopping before he was even in the flat.
When he opened the door he was greeted with silence and frowned, but shrugged it off thinking maybe the boys were out or in their room doing whatever they were doing and Harry could glady do without knowing what that was. Despite his worries of having to cook for himself he was surprised by the sight of leftover pasta in a pot on the stove and as if on cue his stomach grumbled and a groan left his mouth.
Without thinking of putting his bag in his room or using the toilet he needed for twenty minutes already he hastily pulled out a plate and a fork and loaded himself a ridiculous amount of the linguine arrabiata on it and started eating before he even sat at the table balancing the plate on the palm of his hand.
"Tastes good?" Liam's amused voice erupted from the doorframe and Harry nodded frantically with his mouth full.
"'mazin'." He mumbled.
"Good, I'm glad." Liam chuckled and strolled into the kitchen to grab a water bottle from the fridge along with a glass. "How was work?"
"It was good." Harry coughed after swallowing and wiped his mouth with his sleeve receiving a quirked eyebrow from Liam at his horrible table manners. "Got all my tasks done after Louis basically forced me to when he put some stupid program on my computer that prevented me from using any other apps or browsers than the ones I need for work."
"Oh?" Liam said surprised and tilted his head curiously. "Louis?"
"Yeah, Louis." Harry shrugged, not letting it show how nervous he was and he cursed himself for mentioning him in the first place.
"Mhm..." Liam hummed. "How come?"
"Oh, I disturbed him by-" Harry paused when he heard a room door opening and stiffened. "-by asking him a few questions because of a task we need to do and he was in an important call." He finished with a small lie when Zayn appeared next to Liam with a kiss to his cheek before he strolled further into the room to see what sweets they had in the cupboard.
"Oh that was the reason?" He mumbled abstinently.
"Huh?" Harry turned to him confused.
"It was topic number one today, everyone was wondering what was up with the little show between you and Mr. fucking perfect." Zayn said with an eye roll. "I was already wondering why you were putting up with him."
"What? Why not?" Harry slightly snapped, but he quickly gathered himself when he saw the frown on Zayn's face and Liam quirking an eyebrow at him. "I mean...he's our boss."
"Why does he even care about any of your tasks?" Zayn wondered.
"B-because we, uh..." Harry furrowed his eyebrows thinking of a quick excuse. "...the testing has an impact on the cost accounting because we're in delay already and because I'm working on it and Louis knows best about accounting and all that shit Niall told me to ask him."
"Is there anything he's not good at?" Zayn huffed sarcastically.
"For fuck's sake." Liam sighed deeply and turned on his heel, done with hearing any of that topic from either of them anymore because he just knew this would turn into a discussion again so he simply left the room with quick steps.
"Why?" Harry asked annoyed.
"What why?" Zayn shrugged.
"Why do you have to be like this? He literally didn't do anything to you now." Harry muttered.
