Back Story :
Anga Raj Karna was not only a name in Mahabharata. He was a true living legend. All either loved him or envied him. But in his long journey he all the times remained alone. His life was full of pain and suffering and longing to prove himself worthy to his opponent Arjuna.
His story was worthy to know about. But his agony and suffering was still endless. He took birth as Princess Kunti and Sun God's first born whom his mother abandoned in the fear of society. He was adopted into a lovely Sut family of Adhirath and his wife Radha as their first born son. For this identity he had to suffer till his end. But his foster family never abandoned him even though they did not want to stay with him at Anga Pradesh at first. Later everything became normal and his family accompanied him there.
Devi Padmavati (1st Wife)
His marriage with his first wife was a fascinating story. After the death of his childhood sweetheart Baishali he was completely broken heart. He did not want to get married to anyone. A girl named Padmavati with lotus eyes changed his mind. He met her first at the river bank of Ganges with the help of his brother Shone. Then 2 years back they met again. She was then a maid of Princess of Prayag, Ashabari. He recognized her and rescued her along with her friend and Princess Ashabari. Princess was infatuated with him at first but denied to marry him. He denied to marry her too by seeing her changing nature. He then and there married her friend and maid, Padmavati, and took her with him to his state. He even renamed her as Vrushali following his own name "Vrisha".
Devi Supriya (2nd Wife)
His second wife was Supriya and she was maid of Princess Bhanumati, wife of his friend, Duryodhan. He became forced to marry her so that his friend Diryodhan could marry Bhanumati. With the consent of his wife he had to marry Supriya but did not give her due recognition as his wife for long. But her simplicity and devotion took his heart and he ultimately fell for her too.
Story Unfolds :
At the time of our story Karna was married with two wives and had 8 sons. His last born Vrishaketu was at the time of our story in the womb of his second wife Supriya. Let's come back to the story.
He was sitting uptight all night and thinking hard about his lost love. Since last 6 months he was feeling as if his Baishali had come back to him. He had sensed her presence. He had heard her smile. He had seen her batting her large eyelashes and then pouting her lips cutely. But all in his dreams. Those dreams got shuttered at the dawn time.
"Om Jaba Kushum Sankashan
Kashyapeyam MahadyutimDhantarin Sarba Papghno
Pranatsmi Diwakaram."Since his early childhood he loved to pray to Sun God. He felt at ease. Today was no exception. In night he could not sleep a bit. Hence he decided to pay tribute to his deity. His father. His Sun God. At that time he knew that he was Surya Putra (son of Sun God).
He was bowing deep by folding his palms together to the rising Sun when all of a sudden the Sun God appeared before him.
"Putra (son), you look worried. What is the problem?!! Tell me." His father wanted to know.
He bowed deeply to him and replied calmly "I don't know why but I feel that someone is calling me. My first love Baishali is coming back to me. Once more." Then by lifting his both pleading eyes to his father he asked "Do you think it is possible, Pitah (father)?!!"
"Of course, son, why not?!! A girl of the same face and same golden heart had took birth on the earth to be your companion. She will try her level best to stop the Mahabharata." Sun God replied confidently.
"Asambhav. Impossible. I can't marry again. You know that very well that I did not want to marry my second wife too. But I was forced." He sighed hard while remembering about Supriya, his second wife.
"Once forced, can be forced twice. It is up-to destiny, Son. None can help it. We all are helpless in front of fate." His father mentioned to him. Calmly.
"You mean I will be forced once more to marry another girl?!! But why?!! And who will be she?!!" Karna was in shock.
"Yes, Putra. You have to be married once more. For last time. This time it is a Princess. The pretty and petite princess of Pukeya. Uruvi. Your fate changer. Lord Vasudeva's helper. Bhism's beloved grand-daughter. Duryodhan's conscience. Arjuna's laughter. Yuddhisthir, Bhim and Lord Balram's sister like figure. Nakul and Sahadev's elder sister. All girls were in love with her soothing personality. Draupadi, Ulupi, Subhadra, Supriya, Chitrangada, Padmavati. She is a true living example of warmth and care of all. Strength and will power of all. Fate had given her to you. You have no right to reject her." Sun God told him confidently.
Karna closed his eyelids slowly and painfully. He did not understand what to do now. His father knew every single details of his life beforehand. Baishali's death, Padmavati's eagerly awaiting, Supriya's devotion nothing failed to reach to his notice. If he was saying about some Princess of Pukeya then she must come into his life. None could stop her entering.
"Pranipat, Pitah (bow to you father)."
He bowed deeply to his father who blessed him to be praiseworthy in response."Yashswi Vab (be praiseworthy)."
Surya Dev
The Sun God had disappeared in the horizon. Only a faint sunray was seen to be falling on his son's bowed head. He wanted his son to be happy. So in his request his first love Baishali had took another birth, as Uruvi, in the earth. Just for him. Only.
