Story Unfolds :
"Save my sons. I know they will fight for their father. I don't want to see them dead. As a mother I can't. Only you have the hold on them. You can stop them."
Uruvi told him not by looking at his direction. She knew that he was the greatest father upon this earth who dotted upon his sons. His sons were his life. Hence he could not bear to be parted away from them. So even after being brutally rejected by Duryodhan and Kunti she came to only him. She did not considering their own marital problems.
Her husband Karna, on the contrary, was very calm and composed. He too knew that she would come to him at this very moment. Her motherly heart would bound her to seek his aid. He was happy to see at least she was a great mother, even if she could not be a great wife to him. But it was his big mistake. In reality he was an excellent judge of character. But he could not understand her nature. He did not have a bit knowledge that whatever she was performing just now was for his sake too. He had to suffer a big blow even before the starting of the war. And she was trying hard to stop that. She knew that perfectly he could not cope up with that fatal blow.
He was preparing for the war when she ran into the room and uttered this aloud. He sharply turned left to face her. With brewed eyebrows. He did not understand why she was telling this just before the starting of the war?!! Fool!! He did not understand that she was trying hard to save her husband and sons' lives even at the last moment!!! Male ego!! Huh!!!
"Ap mujhse ye kyun keh rahi hain?!! Apne putro se Jake kahiye!!" (Why you are telling that to me?!! Go and tell it to your sons!!) He replied calmly. But his tone was commanding. A slightest hint of anger was present there too.
"Maine unse bhi kahan hain par wo mere baat nahin sunte!! Kehte hain yudhha main Birgati prapta hona to param sabhagya ke bishoy hote hain!! Akhir kyun koi bhi mere baat nahin mante!! Na ap!! Na woh!!" (I have told them thousand times but they are not listening to me. They told me that in this war dying is a blessing. Why the hell nobody is listening to my valid pleading!! Not you!! Not them!!) She broke into a sob by putting her both hands over her face. She could not be able to resist herself from thinking of the inevitable. She knew that she was going to loose them. One by one.
