Back Story :

"I worship him. As his devotee."

A simple looking girl was thinking it in mind. She was a maid of Princess Bhanumati of Kalinga state. At the time of the abduction of Bhanumati she tried to protect her in vain. But according to the wish of Princrss she had to marry Anga Raj Karna. Her Princess Bhanumati was unwilling to marry Prince Duryodhan unless her friend Supriya could get the chance to be married with his friend Karna. She was married to Karna as Bhanumati was to Duryodhan. But her conjugal life was not good a bit at first as her husband denied to come to her cabin from the first night of their marriage. Her mother-in-law also was not in favor of her. Her sister Padmavati was aloof to her. She gained trust of her father-in-law Adhirath and her young brother-in-law Shone first by serving them day and night. She was forced to stay like a maid in her own home after marriage. Her another solace was young Vrishasen, Karna and Padmati's first born, who for no reason became very attached to her. He followed her everywhere when she was performing any household chores. In his young heart he became convinced about this girl's goodness. And this closeness with Vrishasen ultimately helped her to broke the ice in her relationship. Padmavati got news of her suffering and she then forced this girl to go to her husband Karna. In this way Karna-Supriya reconciliation had happened. But even after that she remained in her small humble abode at the outskirt of Hastinspur and sacrificed her marital bliss for the sake of her elder sister Padmavati. She knew by heart that her husband could never love her. She did not want to snatch him from his first wife and his son. She thus chose this seclusion and separation for the betterment of her family. Even most masses of Anga province could not known her as the "Rani" (Queen) of Anga due to her living out of the state.

She loved her husband very much. Like her deity. Her Bhagwan (God). At the time of the story for the sake of her sister Padmavati she sacrificed herself once more. After loosing her unborn child Padmavati asked her to bear a child for her. Being a faithful and loyal sister she obeyed and then became pregnant with her only son. Other 7 sons were adopted by her. This son growing in her womb was her first and last son with Karna, her husband. This son would be named as Vrishaketu, the last born and only surviving son of Karna.
