Jean didn't expect it to end so fast, and so, wrongly. To break the heart of whom she loved the most, had to be one of the worst experiences of her life, but it had to be done, she was too busy for him, and she loved him, dearly, but unfortunately there was nothing she could do. She was now sitting in her office, overworking herself to forget the pain, and to cope. Kaeya seemed to be the most worried out of all the knights, as he could see how it affected the two. He was sitting on the couch inside the Acting Grand Master's office, looking at her and how she almost fell asleep or cried from it all. "So you really couldn't make it work?" He asked, as he tried to keep his voice as calm as possible. Even though there was still some bad blood between him and Diluc, he had managed to talk to him about the situation, and was afraid he was gonna go on a spree like how he did after their father died. "I had to do it, Kaeya, I didn't have time for him, and I took advantage of his kindness." She mumbled, burying her head into her hands." She hadn't seen Diluc in weeks, and it had been around a month since she stood outside of the winery, telling him that their relationship had to come to an end. He was the one who confessed to her first, and she liked him back, so they started dating, but kept it secret from the people, except for their closest friends. Unfortunately, Jean overworked herself countless of times, and Diluc would constantly argue with her about how bad it affected her health, which became anger that she took out on him. As if he hadn't gone through enough pain.

The room went quiet after she spoke, and it was clear that Kaeya didn't know what more to say. To him, he could see them making it work quite perfectly, but he believed they simply just didn't want to because of their clans, jobs, and the safety of Mondstadt. "I think you should talk to him, I haven't seen him at Angel's Share in a few days now.." He tried to suggest, and Jean was quite hesitant at first, but if she could somewhat explain her situation to Diluc, and earn his trust again, or perhaps just be his friend, it would be enough. She just needed to hear his voice, or see him again. She did admit she missed him a lot. "Fine, I'll do it.. let me just finish this." "No need, I'll finish it for you." Kaeya interrupted, giving her a small smile. "I'm sure you two can work it out, he's most likely at the winery." He explained, as he stood up, and helped the exhausted blonde girl up from her chair. "Good luck." He patted her shoulder, before he followed her with his eyes as she walked out.

She didn't know what to say, or how she would explain to Diluc how she truly felt. He was probably upset, or super angry. Was he even home? She remembers the time he left Mondstadt to hunt down the Fatui, especially since she kept all of his letters in her room or in her office. She just couldn't let it go, and she felt quite bad for him. Poor guy had to go through all of it. Unfortunately, she made his life ten times worse, and now he didn't seem to have anyone at all. This could go both ways, and she just had to wait and see.
