Just like that same day, the weather wasn't the best. Only on that day, it was raining, and it wasn't today, not yet. When Jean finally arrived, it didn't seem like anyone was outside, like they usually were, so she grew even more nervous. When she finally got the courage to knock on the door, her hand started shaking. She was so nervous to meet him again, but even more nervous to hear the news if he had left. Adelinde opened the door after a while, and after realising who she was, the maid gave her a small smile, and welcomed her in. "Master Diluc is in his office, would you like me to tell him that you've arrived?" She asked, and Jean seemed to think about it for a while, before nodding. If he didn't want to see her, then she could easily retreat, and it was that easy, but she was afraid that Kaeya would be disappointed if she didn't make up with his brother. After waiting for a short while, and hearing some faint voices, she finally got her eyes on the redhead, and he didn't seem to be in the best state either. He didn't look mad though, just a bit disappointed to see her show up after what she did. They stood a few feet apart, both being quiet. There were no one else around, so she had to be the first one to break the silence, and it seemed like it would most likely worsen the situation, but what did she have left to lose?

"Look, Diluc, I'm so sorry for what I did, and I really do need to give you a proper explanation.. you know I really-" She was cut off by his harsh voice, and it seemed to break her heart into pieces. "If you're here to put pity on me, then you can leave. I do not want to hear apology after apology from you. You told me we could clearly make it work, and that you wouldn't overwork yourself. You even promised me that together, we would have time to go on walks, or even make wine together, but you didn't fulfill a single wish, so if you're gonna stand here and try to give 'a proper apology', then you should've at least thought about it before you put your work over everyone and everything, including me. No, you know what? Especially me. It was eating me alive, Jean, and you were aware of it yourself. We had an option to work it out together, but your choice was to break up and overwork yourself even more? What the hell is wrong with you?!" He finally finished his rant, and it seemed like he had kept that inside for ages, but was too afraid to say it. He didn't feel pity for her, even though he still loved her, he just hated that he did. Tears were filling her eyes, slowly making their way down her face, but no pity, no hug, no apology, nothing. The apology she was gonna give ended up in tears. "Go home, Jean." He finally finished it, knowing clearly that she wasn't going to say anything more when she was a mess. She did as she was told though, and was quickly out of the door before he could blink. Was he too harsh on her? Perhaps, but she did the same thing to him, and he cried when she was done with her break up, so why couldn't he do the same thing? He didn't care, and just wandered back to his office, sitting down on the couch that he and his father would have long discussions on. At this point, he just wanted someone to talk to, and he knew that talking to the maids was difficult. He thought about it for a moment, before finally deciding who to talk to.
