"I sure do understand why the letter confuses you, it confuses me and Kaeya as much." Jean scratched her head in pure confusion. "Well, we know for a fact they're planning an attack, but do we really believe that they'd get their 'leader' to lead through it all? He's never showed himself to anyone before, and we don't know what he looks like." Diluc replied, and Kaeya only shook his head. "I'll ask the Traveler once she arrives, she might know something about this, especially after she's been through some of the regions in Teyvat." Kaeya said. After that, he was out of the door. Diluc didn't realise how awkward it was to be alone with Jean again, and it seemed like her body language was telling the same story, yet they tried to stay as professional as possible.

"I do believe that there could be a few hints in this letter. They don't want to negotiate, but they did let you know that they were setting up an attack.. no date, no time, nothing. The only thing we know is that it's something big, because if it isn't, why would they write something like that?" Jean questioned to herself. She tapped the pen she was holding in her hand, while they had taken notes all three together. "I believe that they were being serious, but we also need to keep the thought in mind that they may have said that to catch us off guard, either they're planning what they said in the letter, something smaller, or something that we can't defend. Maybe all of them, in small babysteps." Diluc sat down on the couch in her office, and rubbed his head, trying to think. Minutes went by, and the two of them tried to figure out what this message could truly mean, but it seemed like they didn't come to any conclusions. "Perhaps.. they've already planned it all, and are just waiting for the perfect moment to strike?" Diluc finally said, and it seemed like Jean had the same thoughts. The only thing they could do now was warn the Knights, and not panic the city, because they were both sure that if panic struck, so would chaos, and that would make this situation ten times worse.

Diluc had headed back to Dawn Winery to get his gear, while Jean had told him she was gonna have a talk with Kaeya and the others. The situation did stress Diluc a bit, he admitted that, but he knew that if he could manage to handle the situation well, it would make his father proud, as he knew he was always looking down on him. "I'll make you proud, I hope you know that, father." He whispered to himself, before he headed out to meet the others.

When he made it back to the KoF hq, he saw that Lisa, Kaeya, and Jean were all standing in the hallway, all ready and geared up. None of them knew when the attack would start, where it would end, or where it would begin. "Did you tell the knights? Everyone?" Diluc asked, as he walked up to the three of them. "Professional knights have been told to go out to places we may suspect the attack could start at, while the young knights like Fischl, Bennett, and Noelle are gonna stay here with us, just in case." Lisa explained. "Has anyone been sent out to Stormterror's Lair?" Diluc asked, and the three grew quiet. "We can't risk that they get Dvalin again." He sighed, and got a pat on the shoulder from Kaeya. "You and Jean can head there, me and Lisa will make sure that everything is set, and that there will be no panic amongst the people." Kaeya explained, and gave them both a smile. It was up to them to check on Dvalin now, and it reminded Diluc of when they helped Barbatos and the Traveler with it.

"Ready to go?" Jean asked. She got a smile from the redhead in return. "Ready."
