Stumbling upon some enemies, and defeating them with bare ease, Diluc and Jean managed to get to their "rented" house, and made sure to grab all of their belongings, and change as quick as they could, before they rushed out, and left nothing behind. Mondstadt was the safest place for them now, so they had to return home. They ran back to Diluc's horse, and jumped on, before they started to rush home as quick as possible. Having a bow with him, Diluc shot many fatui members along the way, and they thankfully managed to escape death by just a minute.

"You okay?" Diluc asked as they crossed the border between Mondstadt and Snezhnaya.

"Im fine, just small bruises is all." Jean said, as she rested her head against his back, taking in the soft old scent of his jacket.

"That's good, we'll head to Dawn Winery, and you may return home tomorrow, alright?" Diluc said as the moon was shining down on the two.

"Okay." The young blonde night returned an answer, a smile forming on her pale red lips. She liked spending the night with Diluc, even after what had happened between them. When they returned, Diluc made sure to give the horse its home and a proper meal, before he returned inside.

"Should I organise a room for you?" He asked, as he slipped off his jacket when they walked in.

"I don't think there's a need to start with that now. Don't you have your room all set?" Jean asked, a tainted red colour filling her cheeks.

"My room? Okay, if you insist." He gave her a small smile, and led her to his bedroom. Truthfully, Diluc didn't expect someone like her to be so in love with him still, yet, she was, deeply. He helped her get into bed, and managed to check her for any wounds or injuries, but she was fine.

Jean soon fell asleep, and Diluc seemed to watch her and make sure she was alright. Eventually, he wandered to his office, and sat down, beginning to write a letter to Kaeya. He was one of the only people who knew where Jean and Diluc were, and therefore he had to know they had made it home safely. Once he wrote the letter, he patched it up, and sent it away.

He made it back to his bedroom, and got on the opposite side of the sleeping acting grand master. He hoped that tomorrow would bring more happiness, and that he could have a proper talk with Jean, and maybe patch up the relationship between them. Hopefully.

!!Authors note!!
This chapter was published quite late since I'm currently on summer break and I haven't had any motivation to write. Fortunately, I do now, and I might be able to publish a few more chapters before I start school on August 17th! This year is very important for my education though, so I'll be focusing on that, but I'll do my best to write! Thank you for reading, and I apologise that this chapter is quite short, I usually write what's on my mind, and then it sort of stops, so here we are! I love you all :)
