Diluc started walking over to the fatui and hilichurls, but he didn't know what awaited him, or should he change it to who was waiting for him. Once he had fended off and killed the enemies, he heard a clap, and a laugh. He couldn't turn around in time, as he was already knocked out. Being incredibly worried, Jean had watched the whole thing. Diluc had been knocked out by some blue haired guy.. or turquoise. "Hey! Leave him alone!" She finally shouted, and when he turned around, she noticed who he was. A fatui harbinger! Il Dottore, was it? The doctor. "Well who do we have here? The Acting Grand Master of Mondstadt? Here to save someone that hates her kind, that's unfortunate.." Dottore talked, as he walked over to her. "I'm just gonna borrow your beloved Diluc here, and you can have him when I'm done.." He finished, and Jean started to think. Experiments. "Wait, no, you can't take him-!" It was too late, she had been knocked out too, and everything went pitch black.
When Diluc finally woke up, he groaned, and noticed that his arms were chained up with handcuffs to the wall. On the other side of the room he saw a cage, big enough for one human, which held Jean inside. Fuck, he had gotten her in this situation too? He shouldn't have kissed her, and he shouldn't have cleared the camp, or they would've made it out. "Look who's awake." He heard a voice, and of course he should've expected none other than Dottore. Diluc had wished to never see him again, especially after the day he had seen his own father die. "You've grown, how long has it been? 4 years? You're 22 now then, aren't you?" Dottore said, grabbing the redheads chin. "Get your filthy hands off of me, and let Jean go!" Diluc yelled at him, but he only got a laugh in response. "Is she your girlfriend perhaps? Is that why you want me to let her go so badly?" He began speaking, as he let go of Diluc, and slowly walked over to Jean, and that's when Diluc started to panic. "She's not my girlfriend, but don't you lay a finger on her, or I'll-!" "You'll what? You can't do anything when you're chained up like that." Dottore laughed, and finally reached the cage, unlocking it as he pulled Jean out, who still seemed to be unconscious. Diluc hated the feeling of seeing his beloved be touched by another man, in any way for that matter. Little did Dottore know that Diluc still had his pyro vision, so he slowly tried to burn the chains, which seemed to be slowly working.
"You destroyed plenty of our camps and resources when you came here before, Diluc, and now I can legally take both you and your girlfriend here, since you're banned." Dottore began to explain, as he pulled his arm around Jean's neck, holding her tight. "You could make a choice though. You either go out here alive, but let me keep the Acting Grand Master, or, she leaves and you stay here. It's up to you, Diluc Ragnvindr." Diluc just stood there with the chains, and thankfully the Doctor didn't notice that he was almost free. "Well, what's your choice?" Dottore seemed quite impatient, but after saying that, Diluc swung at him, making him go head first onto the ground, while he grabbed Jean, and kept her behind himself. She was now slowly waking up, and processing it all. "Both of us are leaving, you can't keep us here!" Diluc swung at him again, but he made sure to keep him alive, or the Fatui would be all over him again. After he noticed that Dottore couldn't get up, he grabbed Jean's hand and ran out of the room. There were Fatui all over, but they eventually managed to escape, and found Diluc's horse.
Now it was only a matter of time to tell if they made it back to Mondstadt safe or not. Diluc got Jean on the horse, and then himself, before he aimed to ride them both out of Snezhnaya.
