As promised, Kaeya had prepared a horse for Diluc's journey to Snezhnaya on the lookout for Jean. She couldn't have gotten too far, as she only left yesterday, but it depended on when she left, yet Diluc didn't ask Kaeya that, as he didn't want to seem way too worried and overprotective. Jean was a strong woman, yet if Diluc almost died, there was a higher chance she'd be face to face with death himself. "Come back in one piece, I'll take care of Mondstadt while you're both gone." Kaeya said as he patted the horse Diluc had gotten ontop of. "Thank you again, Kaeya. I appreciate it." Diluc said, trying his best to sound kind. He didn't exactly forgive Kaeya for what he did, but he didn't forgive himself either, so they were both guilty. "You're the best brother anyone could ask for." He blurted out, cracking a small smile. He could see that Kaeya was holding back happy tears, but he just smiled. "You too, have a safe trip." He said, before he waved and walked back into the gates of Monstadt.

And with that, Diluc began his journey to the cold land of Cryo. He had made sure to wear his warmest clothes, and he had brought multiple supplies, plus extra clothes in case Jean had forgotten. He made sure to have extra space on the horse if Jean had either gone without or lost hers. The trip would take a while, but it was worth it if he would eventually find her. He had to, there wasn't any talk against it, she was the one he loved, and he couldn't deny that anymore. If she had died, he would take his own life too, only to be with his beloved, even if she didn't love him or need him anymore. What a toxic situation that had been. After a day, he finally arrived to where it started to get quite cold and windy, and he could tell that it was Snezhnaya by the snow that covered the green grass beneath it. Now, how would he find Jean? She could be anywhere. He hadn't exactly thought about that, but he had to try. There were fatui almost everywhere, but there were a lot of safe places, and Diluc hoped that they were the same as the last time he was there. If not, he would find different strategies, only to find Jean. When he finds her, they would both return to Mondstadt immediately, in hopes that they weren't gone for more than a week or two.

After a few hours, Diluc had taken out a few fatui camps that were in his way. It was tiring, sure, but he wouldn't give up on his search to find Jean. Just as he was about to set up camp to take a nap, he saw a glimpse of a turquoise sort of circle, followed by some dandelions, and wind. Who else than Jean had that type of power? Especially with Dandelions! He quickly got back onto his horse, fed him a carrot, and was on his way. He couldn't miss her, not now, he had to talk to her and make things right. When he arrived at the scene he had seen, Jean was standing in front of the lifeless bodies of multiple Fatui diplomats, but no harbingers, which was good, as they would definitely kill her. He didn't have time to get off his horse before Jean turned around, and seemed super surprised to see him. Before she could speak, Diluc spoke. "Jean, I'm so happy I found you! What were you thinking?!" He panicked a bit, and it was obvious he had been worried for her. He got off his horse, and walked over to her, and gave her a hug, in which she seemed to comply and hug him back. She didn't speak for a while, as Diluc continued. "I was so worried for you, you know going here is dangerous. Kaeya told me you had left to get your thoughts together, but I couldn't let you come face to face with death, that was my experience, and I wouldn't wish it upon anyone." He gently held her shoulders, looking into her eyes. "Diluc.." Jean could barely speak. She seemed surprised to see him, and before she could even get the chance to talk to him, she saw a pyro bullet fly right past the two of them, which made Diluc's horse run a bit away from them, but it was trained enough to hide instead of flee. It was hiding behind a tree, so Diluc knew where to find it. They both turned their focus to a pyro gunner, and an anemo shielder. It was obvious that the duo were now back together, and would wipe these two fatui diplomats off the face of the earth.
