[Lavender Haze by Taylor Swift]
When Taylor emerged from the ensuite bathroom after her shower, she looked at Katie with a small smile, "Hi."
"Hi, baby," Katie yawned. She'd just finished typing her Instagram post a couple minutes before and had turned her phone on silent for the night, patiently waiting as she stared at the ceiling silently. She was exhausted from everything and wanted to curl up in her lover's arms and sleep for the next half decade.
Taylor seemed to have the same idea, ignoring the phone on 'her' end table and slipping under the blanket with her hair still wet from the shower, too unbothered to dry it off. Plus, Katie was usually so warm that the wet hair helped keep Taylor from sweating to death.
"I wrote a multi step guide on how to get the girl, it went all the way back to high school," Katie rolled onto her side. Unfortunately for Taylor, there actually was a hickey from that moment in the car forming under her ear.
Taylor turned her blue eyes towards the actress with slight worry, "Like... how much detail?"
"I still had five-hundred-ish characters left before I would've hit the caption limit. Not publicist approved, not even spell checked. Just out in the open, nothing left for the tabloids to theorize about hopefully, although I'm sure they'll find something."
"Okay," Taylor hummed, "I trust you."
"That means a lot," Katie replied, she found Taylor's hand under the covers and laced them together for a moment, "We should make sure that all the curtains are shut so Tree can't send a sniper."
"What about your publicist?"
"I'm not Taylor Swift with the copyright symbol, I'm just me. She kind of lets me do what I want unless I'm promoting a movie."
"I wish," Taylor sighed longingly, "Would you be mad if I looked at what you posted?"
"I'm surprised you already haven't," Katie admitted, releasing her girlfriend's hand so she could open the Instagram app. Unlike Taylor, Katie didn't turn her comments off.
Katie also didn't know she could turn comments off, but that was half the fun of it. Eventually her publicist would log in and fix it. Probably.
"Hannah's fangirling in the comments," Taylor chuckled softly, ignoring a few others, "Is she still in Hawaii?"
"No, she came back to Los Angeles last week," Katie laughed. Her assistant had been 'accidentally' on vacation for nearly an entire year, "What are they saying?"
"Doesn't matter," Taylor quickly closed the app, "The caption was very you, pretty cute."
"It doesn't matter," Katie curled into her pillow more while reinforcing the idea, "I love you."
"I love you so much," Taylor blushed at the mere thought of Katie loving her. She turned her light off and the room was suddenly dark, it didn't take very long for sleep to settle in for Katie, but Taylor spent just a few extra minutes with her eyes on the ceiling.
"Kate?" Taylor poked the actress after a few minutes of Katie already being asleep.
Katie jolted, just as she would if someone had woken her while she was asleep at a table read accidentally. She relaxed once she saw Taylor, pulling the blanket up around her cheeks.
"I love you, okay?"
"Okay," Katherine yawned, closing her eyes again, "I love you... go to sleep. You know I hate when you wake me up."
"You hate when I wake you up with Franks's buzzer."
"Uh-huh," Katie mumbled incoherently.
Taylor watched as Katie rolled onto her other side, her back towards her. It was only a second before the younger blonde's hand reached behind herself and felt around until she found Taylor's arm. Taylor let her move it, landing across her hip with her hand down towards her abdomen.
