33. New Friends and New Jobs

Isabella

I wake up around 11 and go sit by the pool. I walk over to the pool and sit down when my phone rings.

I see it's a number I don't have saved in my contacts.

"Hello"

"Hi, is this Isabella Heyward"

"Hi, yes that's me"

"Hi Isabella, I'm the manager over at Canyon Moon Cafe. You dropped off a resume and came in for an interview a few days ago?"

"Yes, I did!"

"Perfect are you still interested in the cashier/barista position?"

"Yes I am!"

"Perfect, do you think you can start on Monday?"

"Ya that's perfect, I sure can"

"Awesome! We will see you Monday!"

"Thanks! See you!" I hang up the phone and do a happy dance.

I post a quick pic on instagram.

I put my phone down after putting on some music on the speaker and get into the pool.

I swim for about an hour before getting out and laying on one of the beach chairs.

I tan for a few minutes before someone comes out onto the patio.

"Whatcha doing?" I hear from behind me and immediately recognize the voice of Sam

"Summoning demons" I look over at him and chuckle.

"Ah damn, that's what I was coming over here to do" he laughs and puts the other towel on one of the other chairs before sitting down. 

"So did you guys pick a place yet? For your next XPLR video?" I ask turning down my music.

"Actually ya, we're thinking of going to the Biltmore Hotel"

"I've never heard of that one" I grab my phone and start googling.

"Yeah it's a pretty crazy one" Sam says before getting into the pool.

"WAIT THE BLACK DAHLIA WAS LAST SEEN THERE!?Terrifying." I said and put my phone down.

"Ya I watched a few other videos about it. It sounds pretty haunted to me" Sam laughed.

My phone rings, it's Colby.

"Helloooo" I answer.

"Hey baby whatcha doing?"
