It was a few months later when Colby asked Izzy if she wanted to go back to Kansas to meet his family.
Obviously she agreed.
They were currently sitting on the flight to Kansas and Izzy was nervous.
"What if your mom hates me?"
"Babe, why would she hate you?" Colby chuckled.
"What if your family tells you that you have to break up with me? This is so nerve racking" she flopped her head onto Colby's shoulder.
"You'll be fine. Just be yourself"
"That's the worst advice you've ever said" she laughed.

They stepped out of the Uber and we're met with Colby's childhood home.
Colby grabbed both bags and walked up to the front door.
Colby opened the door dropped the bags and was immediately met with his mom.
"Cole baby! You're home!!" She threw her arms around her son and hugged him tight.
"Hey momma" he smiled.
Izzy could feel herself getting emotional at this point sweet scene in front of her.
"Oh my goodness how rude of me. You must be Isabella" she walked over and hugged the girl.
"You can call me izzy, it's so nice to meet you Mrs. Brock" she smiled.
"Oh please, call me Lesa" she smiled.
"Okay, thanks again for letting us stay here" Izzy said grabbing her bag.
"Oh don't worry about it sweetheart. Any chance that we get Colby home, is a good thing for us" she gave the boy another hug before her oven made a ping noise "oh dinner should be ready in the next hour"
"Alright, we're just gonna go put this stuff in my room" Colby smiled giving his mom a kiss on her cheek before walking away with Izzy following behind.
"She's so cute" Izzy said as they walked into Colby's room.
"Yeah she's pretty awesome. Alright so we eat dinner tonight and then I think moms got some cheesy site seeing plans tomorrow with us, if that's okay?" Colby said sitting on the bed.
"Sounds amazing, it feels good to see where you grew up" she sat beside him.
He leaned over and gave her a kiss "thank you for coming"
"Anytime. I love you, ya know?" She said.
"I love you too Izzy" Colby said wrapping his arms around her and held her close.
"Colby! Izzy! Dinner!" They heard from the dining room.
"Coming!" Colby said standing up.
The two walked down and had an amazing dinner with Colby's family.

The next morning Lesa told them to get up early, dress in some hiking gear and get excited cause they were gonna go on their favourite hike.
They drove around for a bit first seeing all of the places that Sam and Colby grew up in.
They saw their old school, their old hang outs, and even the first place they ever explored.
It was a great morning, they finally got to the trail it was 1pm. They started their hike and spent the next hour hiking to the top.
Izzy got along so well with me Lesa and Colby's brother, Gage. Unfortunately Colby's dad couldn't go on the hiking trip with them.
They finally reached the top and Izzy couldn't find the words to describe how beautiful the view was.
You could see everything from there.
"Colby this is amazing" she smiled.
She turned around and saw Colby down on one knee.
"Oh my god" she could barely get out before Colby started speaking.
"Izzy, I know we're just young dumb 20 year olds but I love you more than words can ever describe. The thought of not being with you is just the worst feeling I could imagine. The day that I almost lost you was the day that I knew I needed to be with you forever" Colby spoke, Izzy trying to contain her tears.
"You were like a drop of sunshine in the clouds of my life. You brought me so much love and happiness, I could never repay you for that. This past 2 years with you have been the best times and the scariest times. But I want you to know that no matter what, I will always look for you. I will always come and find you. I know you don't have family anymore, but I promise to always make you feel like you have one. I'll always love you. So Isabella, will you marry me?"
Izzy could feel the tears streaming down her face as she stepped over to him nodding. She couldn't get the words out but everyone knew what she meant.
Colby stood up and placed the ring on her finger. She could hear cheering from Colby's family and also her friends.
Out from the trees ran Sam, Tara, Devyn, Jake, Ally, Annie and Jackson.
Everyone hugged and cried. The tears were happy tears but they were plenty.
She started to cry harder as she laughed. It was a perfect day.
The whole group hiked down and drove home to Colby's house. They were gonna get changed and head to dinner and celebrate.
When they arrived at Colby's house, Colby walked in first with Gage, leaving Lesa and Izzy to walk in together.
"Izzy, I just wanted to say thank you. You have made my baby boy so happy. And I cannot thank you enough for that. Take good care of him and welcome to the Family" she hugged the girl tight. Causing a new wave of tears.
"You raised a beautiful man Lesa. I'll take care of him" she smiled and walked away to find Colby.
They all went to the restaurant and celebrated the great occasion.
