Dan comforts the three

Tigger and Oreo were still looking distressed and Nang wasn't looking very comfortable either. Dan turned to them and gathered them close, "Lycan's aren't bad and usually we are a fairly peaceable group but we have our moments as do humans and I'm sure your race. I'm in charge much like your captain and have to make the hard decisions. I might not like them but won't hesitate to make them." God this was not what he had wanted to show them. After the hug, he waved them to a couch.

"Later we will get to know some of the others and think of the pups from this morning. They were darling and wanted to get to know you. They weren't cruel or mean or anything like that, right? Use them as a meter of who we are."

Oreo sighed and looked at Nang, "It is just a huge change from what we grew up with. It is rather scary seeing what you can do." She leaned into Tigger.

He nodded, "For me it is knowing that no matter how I try I would never be able to compete with you. You are so much stronger and bigger and it scares me." He didn't like that admission.

Dan turned and squatted down so he was close to the same level they were, "Tigger the simple fact she's your mate is a proclamation of how you feel. None of my people will ever come between mates. When you discover your soul mate they are yours and you are theirs. Some of my people might ask for a bit of a dalliance but that is normal. All you have to say is no. It won't go any further than that."

He smiled at the male, "I'm glad that I got to meet you and I think down the road I will be able to call you friend and your mate as well. Even if the two of you decide you do want me to the father of your kittens I will never come between the two of you. I have my mate though it might take a bit of time. Nobody will ever come between her and me either. I do love her and if wasn't for pack issues I would take her as my mate now."

Tigger looked at the much larger male and his eyes were vulnerable. He wanted to believe but these humans and whatever the hell Dan was, scared him. Back on his world he could protect his mate but here? There was no way he could. His eyes started to water in his frustration.

Dan saw that and reached forward and pulled the small male to him, "Tigger you are under my protection and the protection of my pack. I swear on my name that nobody will come between the two of you. I have killed for less than forcing someone to have sex or pushing until someone gives. Everyone knows that. Please trust me when I say that. You are as safe here as you are on your ship." He gathered Oreo to him as well.

Nang could feel what he was saying and curled her arms around them, "I know Dan and if he says that he does mean it. Believe my mate." They might not have formalized it but she thought of him as her mate. She decided not to question his statement on having killed for less. Nang didn't want to know.

"Lunch is going to be shortly and Mari is going to be here momentarily to let us know. I will talk to my pack at lunch and they will understand. Please, I do beg of you allow us to show you the joys of earth." Dan lightly stroked their ears and comforted them as best possible.

When Mari walked in she found the four of them cuddling and she could scent fear and anxiety in the room, "Alpha? Is everything okay?" It was her job to take care of the pack even if she was a submissive.

"Somewhat Mari. They have had a bigger bite of lycanism than planned." He stood up and looked at her a she came over and leaned lightly against them.

"Ah, may I make a suggestion Dan? Give Jay and Sean the protection of them, make them feel that they have to work together and maybe that will resolve the issue." It would force them to work together even though they wouldn't want to.
