Darwin watched Medalyn cuddle on his chest, he could feel her soft breath touch his chest through his cloth, he helped her arrange her hair, so beautiful he thought and smiled, he remembered when he asked her to be his girlfriend on her graduation day, he was twenty two then while she was nineteen, now it was four years later, it all felt like yesterday when she hugged him tight screaming yes, he chuckled, now he wanted to be with her forever, but he wanted to wait till they were both really ready before he ask her, he wanted to see her face and stare at it every morning, she tried adjusting the duvet on her body, he quickly helped her and moved his hand slowly to her waist smiling, he used one of his finger to draw an invincible heart on her waist, then he smoothly let his hand flow from her waist to her lap and raised it gently then placed it on he's and continued rubbing it, she finally woke up, her eyes widened seeing how close she was to him and her lap on he's, she was going to stand up but he held her by the waist to the bed
"We didn't do anything nor sleep in the same bed....I woke up and couldn't sleep so I joined you and have been watching you"
"How ..." she was to say something but covered her mouth when she realized her breath may stink, he's wasn't though and she wondered how "I don't want you to mock me later cos of my morning breath" she said with her hand still covering her mouth, Darwin held her hand and slowly brought it down then gave her a long kiss, he then released her slowly and smiled
"I won't" Medalyn blushed hard, she felt embarrassed "you like it?" Her eyes widened and she quickly stood up and quickly walked to take her shower, Darwin chuckled "I'm falling in love with you all over again medy" he said to himself and stood up to dress, he had already taken his bath, he dressed casually and walked downstairs.
"DD..." Mia, Pearl and Sylvia called out excitedly and ran to meet him, he spread his hands open and they all jumped on him except Pearl, he pecked Mia and Sylvia on their cheeks then released them
"You guys did great yesterday" they smiled "what were you guys doing?" He asked looking at the direction they all came from and back to them
"We are gonna have family breakfast real quick and soon so we can all get back to our discipline" Pearl said hands folded, he smiled at her but she looked away, he turned to Mia and Sylvia
"Go assist Nana in serving breakfast, I'm coming to meet her in kitchen also" they nodded and walked away giggling, he watched them smiling then finally turned to face Pearl "what crime did I commit this time to deserve that look on your face" Pearl cleared her throat
"You haven't said a word to Nathan and Dylan" he looked away "they told me you didn't even introduce Medalyn to them"
Darwin looked away guilty but not remorseful, then he looked back at her
"How come you can talk to me in such manner?...not even Jacob would" he said amazed, she unfolded her hands
"That's because I know you'll never hurt me...I know the kind of love you share for Sylvia, Mia and myself...not to talk of the love you have for Jacob, D, but you show nothing to Nathan and Dylan...you don't even act like they're your siblings" she watched his reaction, he wasn't remorseful at all but just stared at her calmly smiling "are you listening to me?"
"I take the four of you as my responsibility...I give you love because I just find myself loving you...I can't give what I don't have Pearl...I expect you to appreciate that and not scold me"
"But I'm not scolding you...I just want Nathan and Dylan to feel this part of love in you...I love all my brothers nd sisters equally and I don't want you guys to be divided"
"You know I would not do what you're asking...in fact I don't understand..."
"Mia won't be this thoughtful if I told her about this" Darwin chuckled "why are being like this?...why..." Darwin saw tears fall from Pearl's eyes, he held her face and nodded slowly in the negative to stop her from talking and then gently wiped the tears
"I have nothing to give those people Pearl...you barely cry and this should be the least reason why you would" he said and pecked her forehead and was walking away, all Pearl could do was watch him, then
"Is it because they are the only ones who never suffered like we did..." Darwin paused, Pearl let her tears flow freely but talked boldly "is it because they never lived with mum...they always had dad's love since they were born?" Darwin turned to face her, she quickly wiped her tears, his face didn't look friendly, she had opened an old wound "I'm.....
I'm sorry... but....."
"Pearl...." He called her name calmly but she knew he had become angry, she just stared at him now "I won't hear of this topic again...I let you talk casually to me and in such manner because I love how mature you sound and I believe you know your limits...don't try this next time" he said and walked away
"But DD...I said I'm sorry" Pearl said but he just kept walking, she knew she won't see him most probably till he finished school or there was a family issue that was too urgent, she remembered how Nathan and Dylan looked when complaining to her, she squatted and cried softly. Just then she felt a hand hold her up, it was Medalyn, Darwin's girlfriend, the way she looked made Pearl figure out she heard everything, Medalyn hugged her and Pearl who wanted that hugged her back crying "all I want is for all six siblings to share love...but Darwin is proving stubborn..." Medalyn released her "I know I crossed my boundaries and opened old wound but it's not Nathan's and Dylan's fault either"
"It's alright... Let's focus on enjoying this breakfast without emotional hurt okei?" Pearl nodded and they both walked to the dinning room.

Medalyn walked following Pearl, to the dinner room, she saw Darwin dressed in an apron and coming out of the kitchen, he walked to meet her and cleared his throat, Pearl didn't want to stay but Medalyn held her back, Darwin glanced at her and Looked back Medalyn, she raised a brow and brought it down
"What were you thinking leaving me to walk all the way to this place alone..." Darwin's eyes widened, he gave a pleading look "she was the one who lead me here, you should thank her...in fact apologize to her for making her forfeit what she as doing to help me" Pearl looked at her with tears in the eyes, Darwin chuckled
"She's my sis medy...besides..... you're an honourable guest...everyone will treat you well..." Pearl walked away not wanting to tear up in front of Darwin, he acted like nothing happened
"Darwin"
"Yes love" he answered smiling, Medalyn knew he won't tell her anything, and she didn't want to spoil his mood more than what happened in the hallway, she chuckled and looked away, then back at him "I'm preparing your favorite, just you wait till breakfast time,...you'll see" she laughed slightly
"Where are the rest?" She asked looking around
"Outside playing... probably exercising" Medalyn smiled widely
"And you made me stay here?...without greeting your father?" Darwin frowned
"You're the one who came to me first" she hit him by the arm slightly and was to run out but he held her back "you can greet my dad when he enters...stay with me" he said giving a charming smile, but
"As much as I like that smile...I'm still gonna greet your father" he still held her back, she looked at him surprised then they both started laughing
"Okay, okay...." they calmed "come when you're done greeting them" she nodded and was to go for the third time but he held her "you didn't even kiss me good morning" she smiled and pecked him by the cheek, he was taller than her so she had to stretch, he signalled her to peck the other cheek but as she was to do so he let his lip touch hers
"Darwin!" he smiled
"Love you...now go greet them" he walked away, she laughed as she ran out
