Darwin rung the doorbell, he sighed, it had being a while since he last visited Mario's house,it was a well built storey building, the door opened, Fredek smiled and they both shaked hands
"Things are gonna be tough today" Fredek said and Darwin chuckled before entering the house, he walked to the slot room (they all had a slot room in their house), he entered with Fredek who shut the door
"You came earlier than I expected" Mario said clicking on his computer then turned to Darwin, Darwin could see the marks on his face from the beating but they were not serious marks, he scanned the room with his eyes, the computers were lined up in order, side by side, there were single chairs for the four to sit each facing a computer, then there was a large couch there, and a table close to it, there was a lot of magazines and books and papers on it with a particular face on the magazines, the room was a big one, Darwin scoffed and sat on one of the two free chairs, he looked at Alfred by his left and saw him focused on his laptop, Fredek flopped on the couch staring at them, Mario watched as Darwin arranged his computer wires and his headphone on then turned to his computer and put his headphone on, Fredek watched them smiling, Mario looked at Darwin watching him for awhile but looked back at his computer and continued his search, then Darwin slowly looked at Mario but almost immediately looked away, Alfred sighed, he was in-between them
"Hey...you two..." He said and looked from Darwin to Mario "when are we having the meeting?" Mario cleared his throat and stood to the couch, Fredek gave space for him, the couch was a curved one, Darwin and Alfred turned to him then Darwin removed his headphone dropping it on his shoulders
"Now that Darwin is here... we'll have to give him heads-up on the happenings so far...."
"Seriously" Fredek said looking at Mario "you know we can't work until the misunderstanding between the both of you is cleared right?...." He stared at Mario for awhile then looked at Darwin "you were wrong to hit Mario so badly yesterday Darwin, I believe you know that fact well enough....we are used to the both of you fighting but not that brutal" Darwin looked at Mario
"He doesn't have any bandage on"
"That's cos he doesn't want to... Mario never uses bandage and you know it" Alfred said
"I was disappointed in you yesterday...you said you won't make lynn suspect anything but that fight is enough for a baby to be scared of his father...you were too rude to Mario" Fredek said with an expressionless face
"Mario has been accommodating us since Lynn started staying with you....nd you've only attended once...it's normal for him to be annoyed...I expected you to understand this and remain calm like you always do" Alfred said and walked to the fridge in the room then took out a bottle of drink, he opened it and drank watching Darwin and Mario steal glances at each other, he chuckled and walked back seeing Fredek just relax on the couch without saying anything "And Mario...." He finally said breaking the silence and walked to sit with his bottle in his hands "you were so childish yesterday I couldn't believe it....you acted foolishly by one; trampling on Darwin's hidden identity and threatening him in his birthday party, two; insulting his girlfriend, three; leaving Darwin birthday party when it wasn't close to over.. we all took pictures but you weren't in it...even the three of us....and people wondered why you weren't with us... your birthday wasn't like that was it?" Mario looked away feeling guilty, Fredek chuckled
"Those doesn't sound like Mario at all...if I didn't witness it I won't have believed it" Mario looked at Fredek who was now smiling sarcastically
"Knowing the kind of persons the both of you are...we'll leave you alone to talk better and reconcile" Alfred and Fredek stood to leave the room
"And hurry...we have a lot ahead of us...don't behave like babies and be quick... we're far from here" Fredek said and he and Alfred walked out.
Darwin stared at Mario so intensely while Mario looked at everything that was not Darwin, they were both silent, Mario looked at Darwin and frowned
