Chapter 4 (Darwin's family)

"Hi"
"Hi...." Darwin said smiling at Medalyn "you look beautiful" she laughed

"You too Darwin... can I come in?"

"Off course...pls do" Darwin let her inside, Medalyn thought the compound very big, it looked more like a palace, she wondered why they made a car park outside when they had such big compound, the house was mainly purple and white, she remembered Darwin telling her his family was a symbol of royalty and purity, he had described the family to her so many times with pride for the family, his father had requested she be in the family 48th generation gathering, he was so excited telling her and he even bought her a pretty dress saying she would look the most stoning compared to his cousins and nieces  "dad will be at cloud nine when he learns that you're here...." Medalyn laughed

"You're exaggerating Darwin" he paused and she did the same then looked at his confused face "what is it?"

"I'm the first son and legitimate son of my father...." Medalyn started smiling "the  long lost son and most handsome male of the great Dosiars generation of handsome men...I am the most cherished member of the 48th generation....my dad Medalyn, will be in cloud nine when he finds out the woman who keeps his son's heart is an angel and medal" Medalyn burst out laughing harder, it was his first time bragging of his background, it was him who was in cloud nine now, he held her hand and walked her towards the door "by the way...it's high time you start calling me a cute name other than Darwin... even my cousins call me DD"

"You're this rich and yet naughtiest in school"

"It's my father's wealth not mine... Besides I just acknowledge he's my dad two years ago...my mum has kept me from him for years and I'm just getting to know he's fun...I just love the fact that you came and I am given so much love even till now" Medalyn smiled "nd I'm only naughty when I'm around you or my friends" he said

"I'm happy you're finally talking about your dad in a positive way" he smiled at her

"And I'm happy you've not brought up the topic of me forgiving my mum since you got here" Medalyn just kept smiling, she had been wanting to bring it up but didn't so it won't spoil his mood, they entered the big mansion

"What!!?... Darwin you live here?... Like here is your father's house?" Darwin chuckled, he remembered his first year in the house, he had resented his mum for keeping him away from his father and letting them suffer, he was very quiet then and the girls that saw him including the maids and his father friends and their daughters called him an angel, his father tried all he could to make him feel comfortable and happy, every young member of the Dosiars wanted to be close to him, the handsomest of the generation as the elders call him, and he became the face of the 48th generation book, they were also the owners of the 'Definite Dosiars', they were everywhere, transportation company both ship and road, hotels, restaurants, technology companies and many more, the family was rich, an empire, what he couldn't understand was why his mum kept only him with her to suffer "Darwin...." He looked at her and smiled widely, she frowned "don't even give me that look, I've been talking to you...." Medalyn had not completed her statement when Darwin pecked her

"Can we enjoy ourselves without you nagging?"

"I don't nag" he held her hand tighter and walked her to were his father and elders of the Dosiars were seated, Medalyn adjusted herself at the site, they all looked so expensive that she thought they were actually a royal family,  Darwin smiled seeing how nervous Medalyn looked, he leaned towards her ears and whispered

"Relax... they're the Elders of Dosiars, they are more cheerful than you think" he leaned back to normal and looked at her again, this time she looked even more nervous

"Did you say elders...they all look their early forties...." Darwin felt pleased

"We're all too handsome...the youngest there is 56, Ray's dad and oldest 66.. My dad...." Medalyn was surprised ".....just be yourself okei?" They were finally close "dad!" Darwin called, Mr Nigel Dosiar turned, his smile cooled Medalyn down a bit

"My son" he called out and they both hugged when Darwin got closer, they released each other and Mr Nigel took a good look at Medalyn smiling "you must be Medalyn"

"Yes sir....good evening....and congratulations sir" Medalyn reasoned her statement, this is a freaking family gathering medy....what are you congratulating him for? Medalyn for the first time felt nervous, she wasn't expecting Darwin's father to be this rich or the family this royal, he was just too simple, like every rich guy, but now she knew the difference between rich and wealthy, Mr Nigel laughed and held her hand then sighed

"I want to thank you for helping my son through trying times, he has told me so many things about you and how he plans to make you his wife......" Darwin quickly covered his father's mouth with his hand, he glanced at Medalyn who was shocked at the confession, he looked away before thier eyes meet to his father

"Dad why would you say such a thing to my guest" he released his father embarrassed, Medalyn was not the cringe type of girl and she hardly showed her emotions

"Guest....I thought she's your girlfriend DD" Mr Brooke Dosiar an elder of the Dosiars said

"Uncle" Darwin felt even more embarrassed, the men all laughed

"You know...it's my first time seeing DD blush and act like this" Mr Fred Dosiar said as Mr Nigel walked back to sit

"I'm not blushing uncle Fred"

"Even your babe's blushing, seems she likes your idea" Darwin looked at Medalyn and saw she was blushing, she looked away feeling embarrassed also, Darwin thought her cute

"Medalyn am I right?" Medalyn immediately looked at Darwin's dad, he looked cheerful and happy "you're a very beautiful lady I must compliment"

"Thank you so much sir" she said smiling, off course she knew she was beautiful, Darwin chuckled and held her hand

"I'll leave you all to enjoy your chat..."

"You should be quick to change to a Dosiar wear, you're our face remember....others are arriving including guests"

"Yes dad...I'll take her to see the others first" Darwin said and they both walked away "so what do you think of my dad and the rest....I mean the...elders?"

"Fantastic" Darwin laughed

"wait until you see the young ones of the family...." He paused and turned to face her "hey....don't be too fascinated by the guys beauty, I'm way more handsome ok... it'll only hurt my pride if you compliment the guys...okei?" Medalyn nodded, he smiled and opened the door, Medalyn eyes widened, what she saw felt like a dream, was she in heaven, the magnificent parlour was filled with very very beautiful guys and pretty girls at different age grade, a handsome guy walked up to them

"Hey what's up man?...." He said to Darwin who Shaked hands with him he looked at Medalyn and bit his lower lip "Hi beautiful" he said to her
