Everything was set, Medalyn had invited all the people she thought Darwin would be comfortable with, she thought of how to get him to stay out till the time of the party, she was able to convince him to go shopping with her, she stared at him as he put the clothes in the boot then helped her open her door, he chuckled
"I noticed you stared deep at me since we came out of the mall.... What's the problem?" Medalyn cleared her throat and thought of what to say, she felt annoyed that she didn't have what to say to make him stay out longer, she frowned in frustration
"Must we go home now?....look I know you don't like being out but common.....it's your birthday" Darwin smirked
"Is that what you wanted to say?" Medalyn looked away and muttered a yes, Darwin held her by the waist smiling wide "why are you so cute?...I can't stop blushing" Medalyn glanced at him and saw how wide his smile was and laughed "where do you want us to go?" Medalyn smiled, her act worked
"Let's go take pictures then watch a movie" Darwin released her and held her hand
"I like the sound of that....get in" she did and he helped her close the door

Darwin played with Medalyns ring finger as they both watched the movie, she could feel his constant glance at her during each scene to see her reaction then he would blush or laugh silently but quickly cover his mouth.
The movie was interesting, Medalyn took out the pictures they took before entering the theatre from her purse as they waited for the attendant who went to drive their car from the park, Darwin leaned closer to see the photos
"I wonder why my boyfriend would hide his face while taking photos with me" she said to herself obviously wanting Darwin to hear her, he laughed "it seemed like you were watching me instead of the movie" she looked at him and saw he was staring at her "like now...."
"I just love to watch you" Medalyn blushed, she looked away and saw their car coming
"He's here with the car...let's go home it's late" she said and hurried into the car before Darwin helped her with the door, he chuckled and took the key from the attendant, entered the car and they zoomed off

They drove into the compound, Darwin wondered why the whole place was dark
"Are the bubs bad now....why is there no light" he said and came out of the car, Medalyn did same, he signalled her to move closer to him and held her hand, they walked closer to the house, then all of a sudden there was a loud shout of happy birthday as people came out from different places all in white, there was fireworks in the air and the colour lights were switched on, Darwin looked at Medalyn who had a wide smile on her face, they all clapped for him but he didn't give any expression, Medalyn noticed and turned to him, she held his hand
"Look....I heard from your friends that you didn't like surprise parties....I just wanted to do something different that's why....but I already told them all that if you don't like it I would send them off....I just want you to be happy....that's all that matters to me" she said and smiled calmly at him, Darwin didn't know what to do, he hugged her and buried his head on her right shoulder, he moved closer to her and tightened his grip
"I'm not mad....I love it....I've never experienced surprise party since I was five.. .so I don't really know how to react or behave" Medalyn smiled,she held him by the arm and slowly released herself, Darwin kept his head bent "I had no idea you were planning all this just for me" Medalyn chuckled
"Yes I was....nd saying yes to you isn't just the only gift I'm giving you today...." Darwin looked at her "how about we go get changed into the real outfit first" she said smiling wide, Darwin blushed and looked away then started laughing, then everyone started laughing, Fredek walked to shake his hand
