Chapter 9 (Back to school)

Medalyn realized how distant Collins was from her, she wondered what the problem was and tried to ask him but he won't let her even get close before walking away

"Ah well...not like I wanna associate with him or anything like that" she had shoved his matter off

"Medalyn Mr Spidvil's calling you to his office" Jezreel, the class rep called out and immediately walked away before Medalyn could say anything

"Why is Mr Spidvil calling you?" Taylor asked annoyed, everyone knew Mr Spidvil to unreasonably hate Medalyn

"Ask me like I know" Taylor cleared her throat as Medalyn walked away to Mr Spidvil's office

"I'm I the only one uncomfortable with this call...why would Mr Spidvil who HATES Medalyn...want to see her...just two days before exams" Taylor asked concerned

"Well...I'd say..." Taylor looked at Tess who looked at her back "let's wait till she comes back, to find out"

"What do you mean I'm gonna be living with you till my parents come home?.... I'm not a baby who needs a babysitter" Medalyn said to Mr Spidvil, he chuckled

"I've always told you Medalyn....not to talk so rudely to me...." He talked in a way Medalyn thought scary "you know I like you...." He was to touch her face but she moved backwards, this made Mr Spidvil angry "you...." He was to shout at her but saw the way she reacted, she looked very scared and tried protecting her face with her hands "just because I like you doesn't mean you can be rude to me....besides...I heard the trip would take quite some time...so you should be good living with me" Medalyn chuckled

"In your dreams...." She said dropping her hands and looking straight at him "I will never stay in your house....." She laughed "so don't bother making romantic dinner for me Mr Spidvil...you'll only look so pathetic...." She eyed him "not like you ever look anything other than that"

"How dare you..." Mr Spidvil griped her, she tried releasing herself but he only griped her harder "you think you are anything special because I said I liked you...is it because of your jerk boyfriend...."

"Let me go!" Medalyn thought she had already started crying

"I could make your life hell in this school...I've done it before....remember?"

"I said let me go...." He released her "im not gonna take this anymore....I'm gonna report you to my parents and...." Mr Spidvil started laughing before Medalyn could finish her statement

"You think they would believe you...you rebellious child...." He became serious again "do that... and that will be the beginning of your sorrow" he chuckled and walked to his sit as Medalyn gave him death glares "you're dismissed" he said smiling, Medalyn walked out frightened and angry at the same time, she saw Taylor standing by the office looking worried

"Medalyn what is he talking about....why do you look like this?" Taylor asked worriedly, she had heard part of their conversation, Medalyn just stared at her with tears in her eyes, then suddenly she ran off "Med...where you going? Med..." She called out but Medalyn just kept running, she remembered how much Mr Spidvil had cost her, he was her nightmare, she had tried to complain to her parents but he always had his way of making them let him be, they never believed her, she knew she wasn't the perfect child they hoped for but they never listened to her complaints about him and made him watch over her always, she stopped running at the sight of Darwin, he was walking towards her direction, she panted as she watched him laugh with the other guys following him, they were the most popular guys in the university, everyone knew them even if they hadn't seen them but their names were popular along with the rumors of how handsome they looked, Darwin saw her staring at him and was to wave but saw how horrible she looked, it was obvious she had been crying, he walked faster to meet her and held her hand worried

"Medy...." Was the only thing he said

"Hey Med what's up" the rest of them said in different ways as they saw her up close, she looked down and nodded in the negative

"Can I talk to you in private Darwin" she said in a cracked voice, the rest tapped Darwin before walking away

"We'll start practicing before you"  Fredek said and walked away also patting Medalyn's shoulder a bit

"Medy what's wrong?" Hearing his voice made her let the tears down although she tried hiding it, they were literally at the center of the big hallway "let's go somewhere quiet" he helped her to an empty class and they sat at the back sit, Medalyn cried out loud now, Darwin felt his heart shatter seeing her tear up, it had been long since he saw her cry, talk more like this "Medy it hurts me to see you like this...tell me what's going on"

"I can't...I..." She cried even more remembering how her mum insisted that she lied against Spidvil just because he disclosed her bad performance in school when actually he had purposely given her an F for turning him down

"Medy..."

"I can't live a day in Mr Spidvil's house...it'll be hell I can't handle" Darwin was confused

"Why would you live in his house"

"Pls can you hug me Darwin....I don't want to talk right now...." He immediately hugged her tight "I just want to stay with you...I..."

"Shuuuu..." He let her cry on his shoulder "you said you didn't want to talk...so just cry it off and talk when you're settled" Darwin said patting her gently
