CHAPTER TWENTY-TWO . . .
. . . A RICE FARMER !

Finally, at the apartment complex, Miran marched in front of the two boys. Just seconds ago, and nearly the entire way there, the two have been bickering back and forth non-stop.

Miran was a calm and patient girl, however dealing with the responsibility of these two (And a few other personal things), she blew a fuse. Glaring at them both, they shut up and followed, Satoru drinking his soda loudly as Suguru slouched, both watching the green-eyed girl march in front of them, they eyed each other.

It surprised them both, considering she is usually the calmest one out of all of them. There were days when she wouldn't have it, but today it seemed she wanted this to end as quickly as possible. As if she had somewhere to be. In the car on the way here, she threatened that if they were too disrespectful to Tengen's vessel she would pinch them.

They hated when she did that.

It was kind of funny, with Satoru and his abilities you'd expect him to use it, yet Miran is always able catch him off guard, pinching him sharply anytime he was misbehaving. Suguru was a loss case, he took it since there was no possible way of avoiding it.

Miran ignored their conversation from behind, focusing on the building. Yaga-Sensei said these were the coordinates to the Star Plasma, this was where they lived. She took long strides, her Katana over her back, unsheathed and polished. Out of all the curse tools she's used the only one that hasn't let her down was this one, it was able to hold her curse energy efficiently, easily becoming her favorite curse tool.

A pat on her shoulder tore her sight away from the building, Suguru's smile being the only thing she saw at the moment, he pointed directly at the building, "Let's go." They split off, Satoru checking the surrounding area while Suguru and Miran go to the main person of interest.

Suguru opened his flip phone, dialing Satoru's number so they could keep in touch in case anything was to happen to either of them. Miran stepped into the elevator with Suguru, who held up the phone to his ear, once again explaining to Satoru why they were there in the first place.

She hummed to herself for a little bit, shutting her eyes and waiting for the ding. It became quiet and she opened her eyes, her head tilting in the question of Suguru's facial reaction, "Eh? Suguru?"

His violet eyes shifted to Miran, he shook off his expression and fanned his hand to her, waving her wariness off, it was just one of Satoru's antics

His violet eyes shifted to Miran, he shook off his expression and fanned his hand to her, waving her wariness off, it was just one of Satoru's antics. He moved the phone away from his ear and brought it closer again, his hand going up to his chin, "You know, Satoru... I've been wanting to say this for a while, but you should stop being so full of yourself."

Satoru's reaction could be heard from even where Miran was standing. The elevator dinged and Miran went first, leading Suguru to the apartment number as he attempted to reason with the six-eyed user.
