Sebastian POV

Making my way to the kitchen the soft almost etherial sound of music caught my attention causing the corners of my lips to lift.

He was sat in front of the piano I had bought him, his back facing me as his fingers danced lightly across the keys.

I approached him setting a cup of tea on a small table near him. His eyes were closed as he lost himself in the melody.

Music was one of the only things that brought him comfort in his childhood. He taught himself to play in attempts to drown out the sounds of abuse and misery that typically filled the Guant manor, masking it with something beautiful.

I grabbed one of my pads of paper and a charcoal pencil, sat on the couch facing him sketching out his features as he played.

I would never understand how people could be so horribly cruel to him...his family, people in our class... they judged him for things he couldn't control, never even tried to get to know him, to see what I saw.

She came around the corner wearing my button up shirt drying her hair with the towel. She looked at Om playing and smiled over at me I returned her look. She leaned down kissing his cheek before joining me on the couch.

I handed her one of the tea cups blasting it with a reheating charm as she rested her head on me sipping it steaming contents as we listened to him play.

YN POV

I wondered if this is what our lives could be like, after we leave school, if we left all the horrible stuff in our pasts behind...could we just live like this forever. I closed my eyes listening to the soothing music and steady beat of Sebastians heartbeat in my ears and the occasional scratching of his pencil on the parchment.

I leaned over curious to know what he was doing. I watched as he sculpted and shaded the scene of Ominis and the piano that was in front of us.

I knew he liked to draw in class but I had never actually seen anything with my own eyes, he never let me before now.

"You're rather good." I whispered now looking up at him.

"I like to sketch things so they don't get lost in my head, moments I want look back at ....remember forever." He said softly looking at Ominis.

"It's lovely." I spoke gently through a tender smile.

"Well, he's a good subject, as are you." He said as his eyes flicked over to me.

"Me?" I asked shyly and he motioned over to the desk. I walked slowly over to it running my fingers over piles of papers strewn around. I saw several drawings of me and Ominis, some going back a few years since they were in the company with ones of Anne.

I picked up one of me and Ominis sitting at a table. both of our eyes peacefully closed, him with his head resting in his palm and me laying on his shoulder as we had fallen asleep. "I don't remember this?" I asked holding the page out to him.

"Ah, That is from when we pulled that all nighter in the library studying for our O.W.Ls ." He smiled handing it back to me.

I returned the small smile and tip toed back over to the desk setting the drawing of us down when a brown leather book caught my attention. I picked it up untying the the straps wound tightly around the covers. Sebastian quickly shot up nervously from the couch.

"not that one." He said reaching out for it eyes wide as a barn owl.

A smirk crawled across my face as I brought the small notebook closer to my chest out of his reach. "And why not this one." I cooed as I continued to unwind the bindings.
