Ominis POV
"Which one is it?" Sebastian grunted out pulling the remaining luggage out of the boot of the cab that we took from kings cross station.
"Number 50, Black door, three in." Y/N called out to him grabbing onto my arm as I stepped onto the curb. "It's a bit icy here Omi, be careful." She said softly caressing my arm.
We all rushed inside trying to escape the bitter morning chill, but upon entering there were met with little sense of relief other than shelter from the wind. "Bloody hell..." Sebastian grumbled with a shiver.
"I'll start a fire." Y/N added rushing past me with a fleeting kiss on the cheek.
"Speaking of the fireplace...Why'd we take a cab in...there are far easier forms of transportation for our kind wouldn't you say?" He added.
I wrapped my arms around myself instinctively to trap in whatever body heat I had left "I've send the request into my the ministry to get it set up on the floo network but you know how they get, especially around the holidays." I explain bouncing on my heels to try and keep my body moving to stay warm.
He sighed "right well, Should I take these upstairs then?"
"NO!" Both Y/N and I shout in unison.
"No, not yet...we will uh...do a tour together first." I explain far calmer this time hoping to ease his suspicion.
The sound of luggage clattered to the hardwood floors followed by another sigh. "Alright whatever you say." His heavy footsteps then traveled further into the main level to the direction Y/N had gone.
I followed quickly behind making my best attempt to not stumble over the bags and failing horribly. "Honestly Sebastian." I huffed under my breath gripping the wall as I took a cautious step over one of them.
"Not much to see yet." He said to me as I entered the small siting room just off the front of the house behind him.
"Not yet." Y/N corrected as I heard a small blast of magic and felt the warmth of fire over my skin. Thank Merlin "But I have plans for it, don't you worry, it won't always be this bare...come see the kitchen." She said dragging him off as I stepped closer to the fire warming my hands.
"And it's gots a little patio out back with room for a small garden...obviously it will be nicer in the spring..." I heard her distant voice explaining, with very little input from Sebastian.
He had been in a mood for days, and we couldn't figure out why. He'd barely spoken to either of us and when he did it was short replies between huffs and grunts. Hopefully his mood would lighten and he would be a total arse our entire holiday break.
"Ready to venture up?" Y/N asked as their footsteps reproached me.
"Yes definitely." I replied with a knowing smirk. We had been planning this surprise for a while, Y/N had stopped by earlier in the week after I was given keys to set everything up.
"Here let me help." She offered I'm assuming regarding the bags in the entry way but was quickly dismissed.
"I've got it, Y/N!" He snapped at her and we all fell into a silence. He sighed I'm sure feeling a bit guilty for his shortness with her "just...it's fine. I've got the bags. lead the way."
"That one there, first door on your left." She instructed as we climbed the stairs to the second floor.
The door to the room that was initially intended to be just mine creaked open and we all stepped inside. "Well, that may just be the largest bed I've ever seen." Sebastian said setting down the bags more gently this time around.
