Sebastian POV
A stillness fell over me as I watched her pace slowly up and down a small corridor of the castle I had never been muttering under her breath, suddenly a door materialized before our eyes and she turned, motioning me in.
I grabbed Ominis arm and pulled him into the mysterious room behind me. "Where the hell-" I squinted as I crossed the threshold of the room trying to orient myself.
"It's called the room of requirement..." her voice was tired...strained as she lowered herself onto a sofa in the center of the room. "I've been using it since 5th year to help with my studies...among other things."
I slowly spun around the room taking it all in, books floated over my head like birds and potions brewed and fizzled on a table in the corner. "brilliant..." I muttered my eyes landing on a large potting station.
"Is anyone going to tell me what the bloody fucking hell happened back there?!" Ominis voice halted my amazement in its tracks, making me remember what brought us here in the first place.
She sighed rubbing the point between her brows "I'm sorry...." Was all she managed refusing to look up at either of us, though I knew the apology was for me more than him.
"for what exactly?" He pried further an indiscernible look of confusion or possibly anger on his face, I wasn't sure.
Her silence made me furious, heat raised to the surface of my skin, When she still didn't reply I stepped in again. "I thought you said you had stopped...how long have you been using them again?"
She sighed once more, still viciously rubbing that spot on her forehead. And my frustration grew I was trying hard to keep my cool, to keep from shouting at her...
"I'd appreciate more than an exasperated sigh as a response." I was firmer this time and her eyes slowly panned up to mine.
"As would I." Ominis added his hand gripping the sofa frame. Her own hand trailed up and her thumb lightly traced circled over his in a calming motion.
"I haven't been..." she finally said looking back over to me.
"Bullshit." I bit out shaking my head with a bitter laugh. "Fucking bullshit YN..." I started pacing around the room like a caged animal, feeling like its large walls were suddenly closing in on me, suffocating me.
She narrowed her eyes painfully at me"I swear Seb! Not since last year...not until today." Her works made me stop in my tracks, clenching my fists rhythmically.
"Still out of the loop here..." Ominis cleared his throat sensing the building tension.
There was a long pause of silence before I finally felt calm enough to speak again, though I could not look at her. "YNs ancient powers. You know the ones that nearly got her killed-"
"The powers that cured your sister!" She butted in angrily.
"The powers that the more she used the more it drains her!" I was furious now, shouting as I turned back to look at her "the powers that every time she uses them it kills a piece of her soul! A piece of her humanity, Merlin knows how much of it she's even got left!!!" I was seething, rage seeping out of my every pore. I flung my arm across a desk, books and glass thudded and shattered on the tile floor around my feet causing both of them to jump slightly.
I walked away from the mess I had made running both of my hands through my hair. "You fucking swore to me the last time..." I shook my head suppressing tears brewing not only from sadness but anger.
"They were going to hurt him!" She shouted back at me shooting up from the couch tears of her own building.
"I had it under control." I muttered clenching my jaw tightly.
