Kyle's POV

Well...this is awkward. Right now, I'm between two people who used to date each other, one was stunned, and the other seemed shocked at my appearance.  Guess who's which? If crickets were present, they'd be the only thing being heard right now, so I decided to break the ice and greeted him, "Hi, Tweek. Welcome back. Hope everything's been good and not batshit crazy like this redneck town."

Tweek has been my friend who is a sweet and genuine guy, especially after forgiving me despite all the shit we put him through when we replaced Kenny with him. His absence was missed in our regular library sessions where we used to hang out in silence, me casually studying and avoiding Cartman while he would read to relax and avoid people and pressure. Tweek smiled and responded, "The only thing crazy there was Mr Garrison, who we met on his holiday."

"O, my god."

My reaction made the blonde laugh, which was contagious. The tension in the air seemed to be dimming since Craig gestured Tweek to come in and quipped, "So, did Mr Garrison chase you guys out?"

I could tell that Tweek's eyes shone at Craig's quip. It seems the blonde was relieved that they were still on good terms. He entered the house, chuckling, and removed his coat without looking at the hanger. Oh yeah, I wasn't the one who frequently visited this house.

We went into the dining room and got seated, listening to Tweek explain, "I wish. The business hasn't been going well, so we returned to South Park. The idea that people wanting exotic coffee from simple folk would be good business was all in my dad's head."

Craig and I looked at each other in surprise. The blonde seemed to notice it and asked,  "What?"

"It's just that you haven't stuttered once." I immediately responded. And that I've been dating your ex for the past few months while you were away, knowing you might never come back!
I'm pretty sure Craig wanted to release a sigh of relief and thank me for the save.

Tweek sighed, "Of course, you would notice. Well, honestly,  it's been a hectic year. You see, the school I attended had a teacher who was also a child psychologist who cared for the students and noticed my behaviour. She suggested therapy sessions and made me see a doctor who was her wife. They advised me to cut off caffeine, especially the ones my parents gave me after discovering they'd been lacing it with meth.  My parents almost went to jail and had to shut down the coffee house due to further suspicion of drug poisoning hence why we're back again, to continue business in South Park where the police don't give a shit. "

Although I expected his parents to do this kind of shit, poisoning your child with fuckin meth can still be entire of a shock. Most people in class figured that there was something severely wrong with Tweek, heck even the teachers and our parents knew, but none of us delved into the situation. After meeting Tweek's parents, I figured it was the coffee addiction his parents induced in him that made the blonde like this, but to think all this time, it was meth.

Jesus, Kyle. You were the freakin smart one. You should have fuckin done something.

I can hear Craig's fists clenching and his stoic face expressing that somebody's parents will get a significant ass-kicking.

"God, I'm so sorry to hear that. We should have done something. We should have...." I responded.

The blonde smiled and repsonded, "Kyle, it's ok. I was angry at everyone initially, but I don't blame any of you. We have pretty shit parents. Besides, you guys, except Cartman, helped in a way.  We couldn't have known, and I don't think any adult would believe us, not even the police. It's the adults who ironically warned us constantly about addictions, were too fucked up to notice."
