Craig's POV

The school bell rang.

I exited the school and I noticed Kyle who was waiting for me with his friends.

When I walked next to Kyle, I was given looks.

"Oh look! Little Gay Kyle with his Prince Craig."  Cartman said.

"Shut up Fatass." Kyle said as he rolled his eyes.

"So you guys are going to work on the English project?" Stan asked.

"Yeah. Got a problem, Marsh?" I said as I crossed my arms.

Even though he's Kyle's best friend, he's still an asshole.

"Oh, you better watch out Stan. Looks like you've got competition." Cartman said.

Kenny was laughing his ass off while Cartman received a hard punch in the arm by Stan.

As Kyle and I walked away, I felt a pair of eyes watching me behind my back.

I ignored it and kept walking with Kyle heading to my house.

At my house...

We were sitting on my carpet in my room discussing about our assignment until Kyle switched the subject.

"So....how are you doing?" Kyle asked.

"Fine....I guess." I said.

"I meant.. a week without Tweek?" Kyle asked. "If you don't wanna talk about it, I understand."

I noticed how Kyle bit his lip somehow knowing that he felt guilty of asking that question. From his facial expression, I can tell that he wanted to help me.

"Honestly,... it's been hell for me. Obviously, you wouldn't understand how it feels."  I said.

"Oh yeah. How about being stuck with Cartman for almost half your childhood." Kyle said.

"Well that's going to leave a mark. I'm surprised that you survived this long." I said.

"I told you. I'm full of surprises." Kyle said.

I laughed but then the wave of sadness came over me. Tears started to fill up my eyes but I didn't want them to fall... not in front of Kyle.

Kyle noticed which irritated me because I hated being vulnerable in front of other people.

Suddenly he pulled me into a hug.

"Craig, you can let them go. It's ok. I don't mind." Kyle whispered.

As he said those words, all of the tears that I held back throughout the week were released forming a waterfall flowing along my face.

Kyle still kept hugging me while I cried onto his shoulder.

Finally I stopped crying and noticed that Kyle's orange jacket was wet due to my tears.

When we stopped hugging, Kyle asked, "How do you feel now?"

Honestly, I still felt sad but also relieved and unburdened.

"Better." I said.

"Hey Craig. If I managed to survive from Cartman's insults and stupid pranks all these years, I think you'll manage to get over this." Kyle said.

I smiled and said, "Thanks."

Kyle smiled back and said, "No problem."

We both hugged again and this time I didn't cry. Instead I smelt his heart warming scent which made me relax.

After the hug, Kyle and I continued the project and suprisely finished it with plenty of time for us to hang out.

We both played video games, joked around and had a blast.

Turns out both of us were competitive and cocky when playing against each other.

Then Kyle checked his watched and said," I better get going."

"Already? Wow, time really flies when you're having fun." I said.

"Yeah." Kyle said.

"Well my good sir may I lead thee to thou castle as a favour for your loyalty." I said.

Kyle laughed and said, "O valiant knight, thy shall."

We both laughed and exited my house heading straight to Kyle's house.

"The last one there is a rotten egg." Kyle yelled as he began to ran.

"Not on my watch." I said.

I ran after him.

We both ran to his house and arrived at in front of the house at the same time.

"You were lucky." Kyle said as he rang the doorbell.

"Lucky? You had a head start." I said as I gave him a friendly punch in the shoulder.

We both laughed.

Then the door opened revealing Mrs Brofvloski.

"Hello my bubbila." She said.

"Hi mom." Kyle said as he turned red with embarrassment.

"Oh and Craig! How are you?" She asked.

"Doing great. How about you, Mrs Broflovski?" I said.

"I'm alright. Looks like you two had fun." She said.

"Yeah,we finished the project early and decided to hang out."  Kyle said.

"We'll, I'm glad." She said. "Thank you so much Craig."

"Your welcome. It's been a pleasure." I said as I offered my hand for her to shake it.

She accepted since she shook it.

"Well I guess I see you on Monday." I said.

As I walked away, I stopped and looked back.

I saw Kyle who was smiling waved.

I smiled and waved back as I walked with a big smile on my face.

From that day on, I knew that new things were about to happen.
