Kyle's POV
There goes the weekend and here comes the boring school days.
I was at the bus stop next to my friends.
Cartman was talking shit about poor people while receiving punches from Kenny. As Stan was trying to break it up, I was thinking about that night in Craig's house.
I never had that much fun ever since Wendy and Stan started dating again. Usually Stan used to hang out with me and have a blast until Wendy came along.
That's when I realise how lonely I was all these years.
......Being left behind.
Meanwhile Cartman is dating Heidi and Kenny has been hanging out more with Butters (Not that I'm complaining).
I would notice how happy Kenny was being with Butters.
I remember when I used to be like that.... but with Stan.
Obviously I didn't tell anyone about my situation because I didn't want to be a
... burden... since nobody asked about it. Besides, there are many people who experienced worse than my situation like Craig Tucker.I noticed how he needed support and a friend. I really pitied him even though we were like... enemies?...no not enemies....frenemies?
We only talked to each other when some crazy and serious shit was going on in South Park. I wonder how he got through the weekend?
"Kyle, are you Ok? You've been quiet ever since you got here." Stan asked.
I repeated the same words that I have always used for a long time and always regretted saying them.
"I'm fine."
Then I gave him a fake smile.
"Oh ok." He said.
Anyway the bus arrived and we climbed aboard.
As usual Kenny and Cartman sat next to each other while Stan sat next to Wendy. Everyone had someone in the bus unlike me. I always end up alone in the back.
On the other side of where I was seated was two empty places.
This used to be where Tweek and Craig sat.
Craig haven't used the bus for the past week which I'm jealous about because he doesn't have to deal with Wendy's yelling and Cartman's insults every morning.
I looked again at the two empty seats. This is where they used to whisper. Where they used to giggle and where they used to smile.
How I wish I had something like that?
Here comes the loneliness again.
I shook it off by staring at the scenery out of the bus window as usual, ignoring Cartman's and Wendy's annoying argument in the background until suddenly everything was quiet when the bus stopped.
I noticed that everyone was looking out of the window and whispering.
I just rolled my eyes and mumbled, "Seriously can't they just not comment on everything."
I didn't know and care what they were whispering about so I kept looking out of the window.
Then I was interrupted by a familiar voice.
"Is this seat taken?" Craig asked.
I was surprised and happy at the same time as my heart beamed with joy.
From his appearance, Craig looked better than last week.
I gave him a genuine smile and said,
"Yeah. I like to introduce you to Mrs Seat John."
"Well I think Mrs Seat John couldn't chairless." Craig said as he sat next to me.
As lame as the pun was, I couldn't help but laugh.
"That's the lamest thing I've ever heard." I said as I gave him a friendly punch on his shoulder.
Craig laughed and asked, "Then why are you laughing?"
I continued laughing barely noticing everyone who were staring at us like we were a bunch of idiots.
I'm glad Craig is smiling and laughing. All je needed was some support and care from a friend.
Craig smiling is great look for him which suddenly made my stomach churn and face heat up red.
