Craig's POV
Kyle and I had the best time of our lives as desk buddies. We joked, giggled and couldn't stop smiling.
The teacher had no problems of allowing Kyle to sit next me. She thought that I can learn an example of behaviour from Kyle.
During the lesson I received a lot of scolding from Kyle to pay attention to the teacher but in my defense I couldn't help it. Nothing is better to annoy someone who gets pissed easily.
The best thing is that we did not get in trouble for interrupting the class thanks to Cartman. That guy holds the record. Wendy as usual spent the rest of the lesson in her new seat holding Stan's hand and clinging to him.
Seriously? We get the idea! We know you guys are dating! Yeesh! Get a room!
Now I realized how Kyle feels.
Speaking of Kyle....
"Craig, would you put your head out of the clouds? You're going to get into trouble." Kyle said.
"Trouble is my middle name." I answered.
"Well in my book your middle name starts with a D. I can't read it clearly." He said as he pretended to squint his eyes at a paper on his desk.
"There's no need for that. It says there that my middle name is Diligent." I said with a smirk.
Kyle snorted and said, "Actually it says that your middle name is Dumbass."
"Well you're probably reading the wrong book." I responded.
All of a sudden he stood up which took me by suprise.
"Kyle, why did you stand up?" I asked.
"The lesson ended. It's lunchtime." He responded.
I took a glance of the classroom and noticed that half of it was empty. I looked back at Kyle with a big smirk.
"Still think I'm reading the wrong book?" He teased.
I rolled my eyes and admitted, "Fine. You win."
Kyle smiled and chuckled making my stomach churn all over again.
We were both interrupted by Wendy's voice which was coming from the classroom.
"Bye Stan! See you at the cafeteria."
I could tell from Kyle's change of expressions on his face indicated that he was angry and annoyed but sad and lonely.
"I should get going." Kyle said.
As he was about to exit the classroom, I grabbed my satchel, chased him and stopped him by grabbing his hand.
He looked back at me with those fascinating emerald eyes which made my face heat up and my legs numb and don't get me started on the fact that I'm holding his hand.
Holy Sh*t.
I forgot what I was about to say.
Then I noticed that people were staring at us holding hands.
"Craig, are you ok?" Kyle asked filled with concern.
As his voice echoed through my ears, I felt a boost of confidence over taking my body. I took a deep breath and said,
"I've noticed how you always ended up alone in the cafeteria so might as well ask you this. Wanna join Clyde, Tolkien and I at our table? I'm warning you things can get a little weird and crazy."
"Dude, you're talking to a guy who has been through crazy shit almost all his life. Besides crazy is one of my middle names." Kyle answered.
"Oh really? I couldn't tell." I said sarcastically.
Again, I received a punch from Kyle in the arm as we both were laughing.
"Now come on Dumbass! We don't wanna keep Clyde and Tolkien waiting." He said.
With our hands still holding for the entire conversation, Kyle lead me by pulling through the corridors and finally we arrived at the cafeteria.
I was immediately greeted by smiles from Tolkien and Clyde in the distance. Well Clyde was more of a cheeky smile or the smile that says 'Something went on!' kind of thing.
Kyle and I realized that we both were still holding hands as we gazed down. We both immediately let go. I haven't got a peek or a clue if Kyle was blushing hard as me.
Anyway...
"Ready to hang out with my crazy friends?" I asked.
"Yeah, i mean they cannot be worse than my friends. Trust me." Kyle admitted.
I cannot help but pity Kyle. For a cool dude like him, why would 'some people' especially Stan Marsh abandon him...except for Kenny because I've seen him and Butters hanging out with Kyle occasionally.
Well that's also another thing that's gonna change and happen.
