Opening of the Session
The session was opened by Sir Cedric, the Speaker of the Parliament, who welcomed all present to the Parliament of the Kingdom of Eldoria.
Approval of the Minutes
The minutes of the previous session were read and approved by the Members of the Parliament.
Announcements
King Thalion informed the Parliament that the delegation from the Kingdom of Dornia had departed after signing a treaty of alliance between the two kingdoms to combat the threat of orcs.
Lady Elara reported that the Ministry of Magic had completed its investigation of the mysterious magical object and found it to be a powerful artifact that could be used for both good and evil. The Ministry recommended that the artifact be securely stored in the Royal Treasury.
Lord Theros informed the Parliament that the Royal Army had increased patrols along the northern border to prevent further attacks by goblin raiders.
Motions
Lady Isadora proposed a motion to establish a new system of healthcare to provide access to basic medical care and treatment to all citizens of the Kingdom, regardless of their social status or wealth. The motion was seconded by Lord Emeric.
Lord Arin proposed a motion to increase the tax on luxury goods to generate revenue for the Kingdom's treasury. The motion was seconded by Lord Garrick.
Debate
The Members of the Parliament engaged in a lively debate on the two motions proposed.
