She flexed the fingers of her hand and glanced up at the doctor, who was giving her the typical rant about calling if something was wrong, or whatever it was they said. "I mean this with all due respect, Ms. Clairmont, but I hope I won't be seeing you here again."
"Me too, doc," she muttered with a smile, sliding off the table and grabbing her purse and jacket from the chair. She was eager to get out of the doctor's office, because she had a flight to catch. A flight that would take Celia to see her boyfriend on something that wasn't a computer screen. It had been an excruciating couple of weeks, but she'd been counting down the days until her flight. The best part was that Spencer didn't even know she was coming. "Thanks again," she told the doctor before she fled to her apartment. In Celia's defence, this trip wasn't entirely for Spencer, because she was going to check on the progress of the boutique's renovations. Margot was coming with her because she'd been curious to see the progress so far, but she knew that Celia would be off doing her own thing, and she didn't seem to mind.
She stepped out of the elevator into her apartment, where Margot was already waiting for her with her usual coffee order in tow. She had a pair of sunglasses over her eyes, and a large duffel thrown over her shoulders. "You packed everything?" Celia nodded, running into her room quickly to grab the bag she'd packed for their small trip. "I called the hotel to confirm our check in time. The rooms should be ready by the time we arrive." She shook her head and lifted her glasses from her face. "I still don't understand why you needed a hotel."
"Because I don't want to impose on Spencer," she replied. He didn't know she was coming, and it didn't seem fair to barge in on his life without him knowing. She could spare some money and spend a few days in a hotel. "You're probably not even going to end up sleeping there," she told Celia with a raised eyebrow. "I doubt your boyfriend won't want you to stay with him."
"Margot," Celia groaned. "Let's go before we miss our train."
"We won't miss it," she assured her, sliding her cellphone into her pocket. "But you said-" Margot shook her head as they stepped into the elevator, and Celia frowned. "I told you the train left at two, but it's really leaving at three. I was anticipating some delays on your end," she shrugged unapologetically. "We'll probably make it there earlier than I was expecting. I wasn't expecting you to be packed when I showed up."
"It's offensive how little you trust me," Celia told her with wide eyes. She crossed her arms over her chest and huffed something under her breath. "Oh, come on. Don't be like that. If it wasn't for CST, you'd be late for everything."
"CST?" Celia questioned, and Margot's eyes widened slightly before she chuckled in discomfort. "It, um, stands for Celia Standard Time. It's how we always get you places on time."
"Everyone knows about this?"
Margot nodded, feeling guilty for letting it slip. "I wasn't even the one who came up with it. It was your cousin of all people. Him and your brother have been in on it for years."
"Assholes," she mumbled under her breath. "I can be on time for things."
"Sure you can, boss," Margot assured her, ushering her into the back seat of the car she'd ordered prior. "I can!" Celia defended, crossing her arms over her chest. Margot nodded, barely listening to her as she typed away on her phone, probably confirming with more people about god knows what. "I believe you," she told her half-heartedly. Celia pulled out her own phone, ignoring the texts from Nathan sending her stupid things he'd found on the internet and decided to send to her. She dialled Penelope's number and brought the phone up to her ear.
